When I was little, I always felt excited for three movies I saw and liked immensely, for their main actresses in particular. Supergirl, Splash and Sheena. All three movies have the following in common: They all start with the letter S, they were all made in 1984 and they all have sexy blonde women as heros! Awesome drawing miss Laurael, she looks so gorgeous! And athletic. Fantastic picture! >:D

I would like to commend you on your effort put through this long process. At least you decided to put quality first rather than quantity and ignoring the 10 hours that state for the duration time. Or was it really 10 hours or a bit off? Seeing the number of revisions you've done, it is obvious that you were persistent in making the lines as crisp and arranged properly just as you've observed on the original picture (or I suppose the reference). A background would be nice too but I suppose making a duplicate of the original is satisfying enough then there is no need to make any more hassle with it. Not really what I call exceptional but acceptable enough for this board, if I say so myself.

thanks, I really didn't pay much attention to the ref though, and the timer isn't really off.....most of the extra time in between is just me thinking of what to do next.....

Thanks so much, JK! I had problems getting the relative darkness and shadows correct, as I work from print-outs, and my printer is almost out of black and white ink. The whole pic ended up several shades lighter, with horizontal lines running through the whole thing (eew)! I didn't want to go into too much detail in the clothing, as I wanted to really focus on the face. (That, and I got lazy). I probably should have made the shadows much purer than they actually are.
Hideyourface, I can't really see the angle difference, but that's probably just me being biased and blind because I drew it. Oh, well, too late to fix it now.
