I just felt it was high time for a good hard look at my bathtub stopper. I'm sure you've felt the same way at some point.

You know you've watched too much porn when this drawing reminds you of a pierced nipple. Not that I'd know that myself.

I figured if you're gonna use Flash the parts that make up the subject should be simple and separate. The eyes, the hands, the mouth. He travels by simply sliding around on his little plastic pen tip leaving lines in his path to keep mobility simple. Just an idea. Of course in Flash the edges would be much smoother.

This is one of the best laugh attacks I've ever had... in fact, it's what finally tempted me to visit the Theme Board! :) I can't say it's the mascot I like best, but it IS in the top 2, I think. <smile> <LOL>

"It's a still life watercolor of a now late afternoon, as the sun shines through the curtain lace and shadows wash the room. And we sit and drink our coffee, couched in our indifference like shells upon a shore you can hear the ocean roar in the dangling conversation, and the superficial sighs, the boarders of our lives. And you read your Emily Dickinson and I my Robert Frost and we note our place with book markers that measure what weve lost...." Simon and Garfunkle

One of my all-time favourite songs, Axil - and you did it justice. The final version really captures the feelings of "the shadows wash the room", in a way that the earlier versions didn't, leaving the image more disconnected from the song. This brings them back into a connected whole, as a picture and its description should be, IMHO. :) The only flaw is not in the image or its execution, but in the connection between it and the song - because she doesn't look "couched in indifference", but instead intently focused. No insult intended, though -- the piece is gorgeous, regardless.

Nice one. Interesting subject, too. The different canvas size definitely adds to it. It makes an everyday object quite pretty. *takes a new look at her telephone*
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 6, 2004)
I really like this one, but I think the telephone needs just a little more definition.

your self portrait harkens me back to the town of my youth. some of the young women often referred to them as "metal heads", i do believe.
Axil62 (Mar 5, 2004)
Metal heads...metal heads...metals heads...hmmmm, nope. I don't get it. Heavy metal fan, some variety of dildo, my big shiney forehead....I'm just not sure. :)

This is a picture of a guy that was trying to show off by playing his bugle with no hands....well his head fell off and that's what he gets. Yup, a real slacker this guy. I guess it's true what they say "if your gonna play a bugle with no hands, you gotta pay by getting a horn jamed in your mouth after your head falls off in front of the old pirate discount store." Yeah, so true, so true.

I was driving to the casino on Friday, I looked to the west from Airport Blvd. and saw a single cloud. It struck me as slightly odd, this lonely single little cloud just hanging there in the middle of a crisp blue sky over the Rocky Mountains. A minute later when I reached the I-70 exit I looked again and it was gone. I made a mental note and wished I had remembered my camera. So this is from memory, best I could remember. I was thinking of adding something surreal later to make it more interesting.

My sister is an archer. I guess she took first in the Kingdom of the outlands womens tournament. Maybe you two could get together and go bowling. :o)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Feb 23, 2004)
Cool, I'd love to meet your sister (I shot 3-D tournaments [outdoors in hunting situations] won the state champ several years and 9th nationally) but I hate bowling. Too many weird ppl at the bowling alley. :P

Oh, and I love this pic. He looks a little different now, old and in camo, but it's nice to remember this. lol!
