EDIT: finished now. i am usualy more bored looking, but i must be happy about something here :?:

Turtle, you are the sexiest turtle to ever turtle in a turtle competition!
Loogie (edited Jul 16, 2003)
Wow, you look alot like my friend Franklin. He can count by twos and tie his shoes, you know.
Turtlebuster (edited Jul 16, 2003)
hah! franklin the turtle is a pretty cool guy. his little bandanna is the shizzle! (he has a bandanna, right?)
Loogie (edited Jul 17, 2003)
Bandana AND a baseball cap, too, methinks... And lets not forget that helmet with the blinky light... how do I know this???

This Chief Pipe, the character i'm using for a character duel with some guy on an art thread. He is called 'Chief Pipe' because his first image had him smoking a a pipe, and i'm too uninspired to think of something original like "Pants On Fire", or "Cheif Brownskin".
;?;
EDIT: zappo, i will pm you the link to the fight once it gets underway. as yet, all there is is my character's picture, my opponents picture, and a picture I did with several kicking figure drawings that ended up being discarded because i did it wrong ;_; it's going to be kind of a 'comic book battle' with descriptions of whats happening as it's happening, and phrases like "you have dishonored my family! DIE NOW!" and stuff. fun, really :)

Sweet, Looks watercolored.... Can you link me to the thread? (Memo me)
darkk_angel (edited Jul 16, 2003)

pshh. there's NO such thing as personas. once we lose our 'masks' we lose our identity. stupid psychologists. i just watched 'the mask' again, btw. it's a deep movie. :|
EDIT: oh yeah, and because of my non-sensical, often impractical thought patterns, i did this with no layers! wahay! eat THAT oekaki!

Ooh. Deep. Metaphorical. My reading teacher would love you. Nice picture, btw. O.O;
Turtlebuster (edited Jul 16, 2003)
it's not deep OR metaphorical, it's a cliche rip-off of about 30-million other mask pictures that havebeen done since 'modern art' came to be :) but thanks
forgotten-memory (edited Jul 16, 2003)
But do we make our masks or are we born with them?
Turtlebuster (edited Jul 17, 2003)
my mask was given to me by a dying milkman. i'm not sure what everyone else's stories are :)

A white shadow... must be a black angel.
EDIT: i ficed the bg a tiny bit, but because of some stupid layering, i would have had to redraw the pic in order to use the bottom layer or use the evil erase tool...)
EDIT: that was wierd... the site changed mid submission. different skin... is marcello back?

the background kind of looks like it's done through that art technique, pontillism (spell).

a white shadow? what's funny about shadows is that there can be complete darkness without light, but there can never be complete light without shadow. so perhaps a black angel is fortunate to be able to defy our laws of science- i'm rambling. nice picture (wanders off).
darkk_angel (edited Jul 16, 2003)
interesting idea.... nice wings... and marien, what is pontillism(scratches head confuzedly)
Turtlebuster (edited Jul 16, 2003)
pointillism is exactly what it sounds like :)
EDIT: not EXACTLY like it sounds. if you are using water colors you just dab the paper with the point of your brush to make little POINTS of colors.. you don't make the picture pointy, or cut the frame into a triangle with an angling saw... 0_o

CURSE OF THE FULL MOON! the monstrous program bared it's malicious teeth and sunk them deep into the soft, delectable computer tower, rending and tearing until at last it found the hard drive. When all was again quiet and the Java Monster had gone, the victimized tower stirred softly and began running self diagnostic. Everything appeared to be fine. then what was this deep stirring in it's memory banks? what was this unmeasurable urge to angle towards the moon and let out a wailing BEEEP! none mayever know the true form of Java, or just how evil it really is...

(laughs) java is an evil that is vital to oekaki, unfortunately. we run the programs on it.

edit: i dunno about lascaux; i never tried it. is it really that bad, java?
Turtlebuster (edited Jul 15, 2003)
is it also vital to Lascaux? i just got 2 errors from running Lascaux that were java based.

Turtlebuster (edited Jul 13, 2003)

forgotten-memory (edited Jul 13, 2003)
..i didn't think the legs were that bad, you old cheapass...

p.s. i never really paid attention to Simon and Garfunkle when they were together....but i love Simon.
Turtlebuster (edited Jul 14, 2003)
zappo america is pretty leet, but the boxer is obviously the shiz-dizzle!

F.M.: Simon is excellent, but you need to by the old, old albums and listen to greats like 'Mrs Robinson' and 'railway station.'

Complete. All in all i am pleased, although this isn't a thing like i had imagined. I am mostly happy because i found out some neat tricks (that i would have implemented earlier had i known) like using basic tools like 'opacity' along with layer transparency. This was definitely worth the 9 hours. :)
