Wonder what your precious little garden gnome does when your not looking? It scares the bejesus outta me! Of course I don't OWN a gnome, but if I did, he would be CHAINED TO THE TREE!
Tesia-chan (edited Apr 18, 2003)
Muaha. I love it.

Ever watched a small child draw something for his mother? It's beautiful.
Kazukie (edited Apr 13, 2003)
This is cool but you could have put a little more into it.. =\
Turtlebuster (edited Apr 13, 2003)
sure sure.I know that, but I've always believed that simplicity can be gorgeous as well as compexity. Anyway, i couldn't decide if this was going to be a revision of something i saw on my friend's mom's refrigerator (a child's crayon picture) or a 'burnt match' type of drawing. If it had been a little more full i would have put it in the Member boards. thx Kaz

The only thing that's bugging me is the person on the right hand side. It just looks odd to me, out of place, ya know?
Turtlebuster (edited Apr 14, 2003)
The person on the right is facing away from the picture, and toward the person on the left, who is facing back at him/her. it was actually supposed to be abstract. :) |

i was going to smudge this one up a whole bunch, but then i thought, "nah, i like the marioworld scenery."if you stare long enough, you'll start to see mario in the background ;)
darkk_angel (edited Apr 2, 2003)

I have an unfortunate habit of drawing the forrground BEFORE drawing the background so my backgrounds tend to look more like accents around the front figure, rather than a scene.ah well.
darkk_angel (edited Apr 1, 2003)
wow.... looks really good!! but isnt that a buffalo.....>>>??? ill eventually hit the question mark key....
Turtlebuster (edited Apr 1, 2003)
to Shiek-AS far as i can figure it, i still have to START with a back ground layer first, right? i mean, even if i just used a blank one and came back to it after I finished the foreground. It sounds simple, but I ALWAYS FORGET! I know, i know, take some ginco and lay off the bud.
furyofroy (edited Apr 1, 2003)
well, what I do, is I start with the figure in the picture, and if i'm doing a "just-color" background, i draw it on a different layer, and then erase inside the lines of the figure. That way, i can draw the background without really affecting the figure! I know, its kinda obvious...nobel prize goes to....SOMEONE ELSE! waaaaaaa...
quintessence (edited Apr 2, 2003)
If you forget to make the background layer before you start, you can always just copy the foreground, make the top layer invisible, erase the bottom layer, and then make the top visible again. That way you can use the bottom layer for the background. I also use that layer to put color on... much, much easier and cleaner than masking. Would that I had discovered all this earlier. :p There should be a board for posting PaintBBS and OekakiBBS tips and tricks. Share the knowledge. |

Shiek (edited Mar 31, 2003)
