I decided to check out www.stickam.com, thought it might be fun. Well, I didn't like it, not at all. Almost everyone I met at Stickam was negative and totally self-involved. The majority of the site is made up of young kids who don't know their ass from the elbow but are certainly proficient at being attention whores. I've found a couple people who were smart, polite and interesting but that seems to be a rarity there. Maybe I'm just out of touch? Is being cynical, rude and distant cool now? Well count me out.

Well I just checked the site, had never heard of it... didn't look for long.. what is it, like another you tube or something? This picture is funny :)
Zack (May 17, 2007)
Being cynical, rude, and distant is probably always going to be cool with your average teens. Thankfully most of us grow out of it! Bummer about the bad experience.
TheCrimsonKing (May 18, 2007)
I agree completely. But what a cool picture!
Kloxboy (May 18, 2007)
Good point Zack. Although, I don't remember being that careless when I was a teen, then again things were different then...back in them days..that whole decade ago. lol

This is where I view an "abstract type" painting, and I know that it works perfectly. I never know for sure how, or why, and I certainly can't do it myself, but you really "pulled it off" right in this one. It has no beginning or ending and it flows outward. It reminds me of the Navajo lightning pattern in weaving... there's always an "escape route" in the pattern... it is open. This does that.
TheCrimsonKing (May 13, 2007)
You talk good DBA, your talking is nice.

I hardly know what to say Juno, though I'd like to know how much you would charge to do large scale mural.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 13, 2007)
Why, thank you, and if you'd like to call my 1-800 number, the first three minutes are FREE!!!!
must be 18 years or older to call, $21.95 plus applicable taxes apply after the first three minutes, on and on with the little fine print blah blah ahahhhhh ;)
davincipoppalag (May 13, 2007)
I know nothing..but that I like what you did here, and I can't afford to call Cindy...the taxes would kill me

it's unbelievable that you don't get more comments, I guess people have started to just take you and your skills for granted.

This is another of yours I think should be showcased, you really push the boundaries with your many styles
Sweetcell (May 12, 2007)
I love stuff like this. Do do more.
Ceido (May 16, 2007)
This one is exceedingly ravishing.

I have a feeling you could make even the most minute mechanical part, to anything, look very much at home in a gallery.

Punky, Joe: You're both welcome to print this out if you like, for personal use of course, you have my permission. You got a point too Zack, yay for making comments. :D
Zack (May 11, 2007)
haha, I had forgotten about points. I meant that I agreed with what he said, kind of a geeky way of saying "ditto."
Kloxboy (May 11, 2007)
Haha, I see. I'm not very fluent in "geek speak" but I've got the "dork dialect" down. :D

I was just looking at that water and those two waves and kept seeing straight hard lines and shoddy blending and had to fix it before it drove me mad. Glad I still had some space left, I hope this looks better now.
Anna (May 25, 2007)
You totally nailed our water! This is so perfect!
Kayos (Jun 13, 2007)
WOW! Im suprised I never saw this on here till now.. You did a superb job on this. Waves are so hard to pull off and look real, and you did spectacularly. I think the thing I like best about it, is the non-burning yellow light typicly on a beach picture. This has the feel of a layer of fog or overcast. * runs from the sun for feer of another 3rd degree burn day.. shuttter* And I always prefer the beach when its like this, and not blearing sun murdering your skin. ;)

I think you did super. Think I mentioned before about the neon colors, they're great. The overall composition is as well.
Black_Bird (Jun 16, 2009)
The lighting is amazing.

The surrounding environment is very cool in colours, then transpires to these great warm colours from your wife.

Definately deserves to be in advanced.

<333 I always love your arts <33 I can tell you have improved. You're so great ;__;
lori (Apr 12, 2007)
I've seen alot of your art on here, there are pics with whole bodies in them, and they looked great to me. This one's a cool pose for sure. How'd you get the whole body thing down anyway? Hands, legs, everything looks just right, I'd love to be able to do that too. I hate having to look at references so much.

Contest Week 49: Hollywood Animals
Kloxboy (edited Apr 16, 2007)
Contest Week 49: Hollywood Animals *Two week contest Your goal these next 2 weeks is to morph an animal and a TV/Movie celebrity together, like a hybrid (real celebrity people, no cartoons). You may pick any animal or TV/Movie star you wish. Try to produce something that looks more realistic than cartoony. You must list the animal and celebrity you morphed together in your description. If I don't know the animal or celebrity you listed, I will look them up on Google to see how well you...
