So nice to see you back Rukia, I've always loved your soft protraits. This is no exception.

nice :'D I love the title

Figuratively, when love goes bad, this happens (hopefully not literally). Unless of course, there was some consensual, cannibalistic-pact made and she died first, then it's all good. Gross but still love. :)

hey thanx! he rox!! >w<
Sweetcell (Jan 28, 2008)
Well I have to say you've improved a lot. If I may just make a suggestion of going back and thinning the lines around the jaw neck and eyes and lowing the jaw line a little more. And take advantage of the font tool to make the letters better. Keep it up.
ilikechocolatemilk (Feb 11, 2008)
thanx sweetcell! thanx for the tip, i'll try to fix it and keep it in mind for the future. i didn't want to use the font tool, but thanx, and i wiil.

You are improving. The hairs messy, but getting much better. Putting more time in your pieces is the the best practice.
STARZSHINE (Feb 11, 2008)

Nice job since finnished....You and Rukia have the most recognizeable work ^^
Sweetcell (Sep 6, 2006)
This turned out very pretty. You do still lifes well. Maybe a few more shadows on the vase to have it look more substantial, as well as some shadows on the leaves and flowers that intersect or lay over the other. And as well highlights here and there, like the wrought iron. That's wrought iron right?
KuteDymples (Sep 7, 2006)
I wanted to go back and add some more shadows, but I had asked for space so many times on this one that I was about afraid to try it again. You are right about the shadows and highlights though, now looking back on this one. Yes, that is wrought iron (or simulated wrought iron) LOL Thanks for the great comments and suggestions. Airin and Shigatsu Sensei, your opinions mean so much to me as well...I love feedback on my drawings, even if they are not good. Yours please me well.
STARZSHINE (Feb 11, 2008)
very nice piece. love that you used some depth in your colors.

Yay! you finished now I can comment...I love how you lightened up her hair and clothes it really makes her blue eyes pop out. She is beautiful
Sweetcell (Sep 6, 2006)
This is nicely done. Profiles can be hard but you did hers well. It's silly but I'm loving how you made the cloth near the armpit look likes it's not simply resting there but there's a space between the cloth and the skin. Very subtle and well done that.
KuteDymples (Sep 7, 2006)
Sweetcell, I had changed that spot, originally it looked terrible and it bothered me. I was happy with it too. :-) I have an easier time with profiles than the full face for some reason, I am trying one right now of Angelina and I can't get her face right to save my life. But I am not giving up, hopefully you will see that here soon as well. and Wittle Fawah, her hair was very hard, actually I believe I lightened it too much, but by the time I was done with it, I was afraid to change it anymore. Thank you both for your nice comments.

They look good enough to eat! My little granddaughters picked most of my tomatoes and threw them all over the back yard last weekend. Grrrrr..
Sweetcell (Sep 14, 2006)
Pick one, make a sauce.
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
I like 'em just sliced with salt and peppa! My mouth is watering as I type. Actually my favorite tomatoe are the "green fried" ones. Yummy!

I had one of those growing up (but I can't remember if it was Anne or Andy) And I still have a childrens book from the 80's. Thanks for the memories Kute. :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 13, 2006)
Raggedy Ann! :) I loved the book, and my Raggedy Ann doll was one of my favorites, although I put her through way more hell than Marcella did in the stories...my Alaskan Simoan dog Snow White ripped my Raggedy Ann's head off in the end. I think we should start calling Marcello "Marcella"... it's much closer to home. :D

I'm glad you did this picture, it brought back lots of funny memories, and you did such a cute job in depicting them.
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
Thanks everyone for the great comments on these, I guess they are just "Old Favorites" of a lot of people. Actually I do paint a lot of childrens characters for pay but on canvas I do much better than on the net. I am really not half as good as I would like to be. I have painted so many Winnie the Pooh pictures I have grown not to like "The Pooh" much. LOL My favorite childrens characters to paint is Disney, Mickey and Minnie. I just love them and could never paint them enough.
