Although I like how cute she looks, it reminds me of a certain scene from azu manga daioh, I don't really see any improvement between this and the pictures you have on the beginners board. Do you feel like you've improved any between your first pictures and this one?

Actually I think it looks pretty finished to me. There's a few places that might use a little more definition like a bit in the legs, but the blurred colors are a perfectly valid way of doing things. Since the blur is mostly horizontal and since the background is a very warm color it looks like he's in the middle of a fight late in the evening, running around trying to out manuver his enemy (in this case, the viewer).

well if anything, it was supposed to be link in the fire temple. and theres a long dragon as a boss. theres just supposed to be a lot of fire. thats the dragon on the bottom right.. But i dont think theres any pillars during that fight.. ohhhhhh well. I still dont like his eyes.

How you didn't show his eyes makes him seem mysterious. And somehow...cunning...? Beautiful job. The floofyness on his coat (that big puffball ^^; ) is great.

500x500 canvas.

I've noticed that a lot of people are using the maximum size (500x500) on the intermediate board lately, especially people who are sort of on the borderline of being able to draw there. Big canvases are great, but you have to fill up all that empty space unless there's obvious artistic merit in leaving it blank. Huge 500x500 drawings on the intermediate board with one little character stranded in the middle are going to get moved to beginner, okay? People who are just getting up to the inter...
