tired of this trash.
hideyourface (Nov 21, 2005)
I think it's look better without the light red outline and a background. Really love those brush strokes though.

Fuck...marcus this is one of my favorites. Its very out of your normal box, which I like. Plus it has a primary color basis, yet not the normal stuff you use. The bird also has alot of different things it can be associated with. I would in some ways like to say leave it be. In other ways I'd like to see it get really abstract...and very sharp. Also one of the more accurate pictures as far as anatomy I'd say.
We'll just have to see what mr. awesomesauce does with it....

It was obvious that I was going to come up with this one. Anyway... It was fun to do it! (I´m still testing the tools). The blending ability of the brush is very helpful and makes it behave just as oil painting. Great.

thats a good eye !
LisaAnne (edited Nov 23, 2005)
This reminds me so much of a girl in my old high school art class...her paintings were always full of wild colors, and very thick paint...she loved oils and I hated them. (polar opposites as far as styles go) I really enjoy the blue in the nose area.

Was browsing the posts this morning, and came across this again...so much style. You get a gold star sticker from me.

the japanese says "beneath the cherry blossoms...the beautiful woman awaits her lover"
so yeah...the ellipse tool was giving me a LOT of trouble, so i'm not gonna do designs on the kimono. we'll just say that the designs are at the bottom. so waddya think?

I like the color and texture you put into this picture. One of Japan's great arts, marvolius.

Love the glowing light
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Nov 22, 2005)
I don't know how a light bulb can have more dimension because I have looked at lit light bulbs plenty of times (:P) and it is just a bright light. I absolutely love your attention to detail in the background. The wall is friggin' awesome
davincipoppalag (Nov 22, 2005)
QWF the light doesn't come out of them evenly. The lower parts are usually darker because the filaments that glow are in the upper middle part. They glow brightest in the very middle and there actually are darker areas in the low sections.

Is the ghostly light in the shape of a crusifix for a reason? Oh wait...I just read the caption haha...well
Its very interesting. I'm curious as to your views or thoughts behind the piece.
fleeting_memory (Nov 22, 2005)
30 degrees C? That toasty-we tested our goldfish at 30 degrees for abio project and half of them died....but anyway I actually did come to comment on the picture. I love the cross that has kinda appeared out of the light. Very cool
solve (Nov 22, 2005)

This guy used to work in the mail room licking stamps. Sadly , the new self-stick ones put him out of work. Now he makes a living off betting people he can tie a cherry stem into a knot with his tongue only. He wins a lot. Great drawing here Deino. The shading and detailing is very well done.
Gigandas (Nov 23, 2005)
Hehe, davinci, you've got a story for all these characters don't ya?
Interesting face. Dunno why but I have this feeling I've seen this elsewhere....hmm.
In any case, I like all the detail you put into the dragon heads(?). Makes you wonder if this guy has infinite tongues though. Maybe those dragon heads have double dragon heads on their tongues too, etc...
sincity (Nov 23, 2005)
OHHHH....Hello there. Diggin some of your work, Coolness. :}

BINGO!
Punky (edited Nov 27, 2005)
This is reminding me of those "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" books. The stories kinda sucked, but the pictures scared the hell outta me.
Nice job though. I like the black and white.
Alex-Cooper (Nov 27, 2005)
I agree with Punky. Same thing I was thinking when I saw this. Except those stories ROCKED. Sweet picture, nice foggy feel to it.
kristine (Nov 27, 2005)
yeah thats exactly what it looked like. the pictures of the ripped off heads and old people scared me ._.

The eye lashes are very good...and the reflections are getting very close to real life.
fleeting_memory (Nov 21, 2005)
ym god this looks exactly like---a picture of an eyeball! haha sorry I'm in a weird mood but this does look nice. The sudden dark line around the iris makes it look kind of owlish though. Good reflection
Gigge (Nov 22, 2005)
I like what you did with the texture of the skin on this one. I hope you do some more with that technique.
