Kraisa
(May 4, 2006)
Apiphobia, or spheksophobia, or cnidophobia. Bees, or wasps, or stinging. "It's not like they are out to get you." , they always said. "It's not like they have a list or something." By the time they realized I was right it was far too late for "Them" *shiver* stinging flying things make me go fetal. Really, like those people on the talk shows who are afraid of foil or kittens, like that. Even stupid June beetles freak me out cause the are all buzzy and like my almost three feet of hair. |

Now you can get that nostalgic sasparilla taste easier than ever...IN A TURTLE!Order now and get two for the price of one!! *not responsible for lost or mauled digits*
HunterKiller_ (Mar 2, 2006)
Are they ninja turtles? rikku, firstly, you shouldn't be criticizing somebody who has a much higher level of artist skill then yourself about where they should be sticking their pictures. Secondly, art isn't always about looking pretty, this is simple picture that is well done and conveys it's clever message.
Kraisa (Mar 3, 2006)
They can be, after many long years of hard training...but currently they cannot dissapear into the night...lolYeah ty hk, I was going to say something to that effect...but it was meaner, ( imagine the mean-ness) besides...crits are ok from any level as long as they have a point...not just "yeah well you suck"
davincipoppalag (Mar 3, 2006)
rikku....read this please http://cellosoft.com/2draw/view/65331/

Rofl. Just because I state my opinion you guys tear me up? Thanks. Anyway, By saying that it's not Intermediate, i'm not insulting the artist that drew it. I'm trying to point out that it's just not intermediate quality. I do well know that Kraisa is a way better artist than I am at the time, but if someone who wasn't as good as an artist would of gotten spat upon for this. Secondly, The reason I said that this isn't intermediate quality, is because the lineart is a tad bit shaky, but most of all, there is a big lack of a backround...... Note the time limit rikku...for that matter, note the shading in the shell...Uhhm....The time limit is one hour and 42 minutes. And yes, I did notice the way you use the Dodge/Burn tool to create a cool looking effect! And last time I checked, I never said that "You suck" in the first place. Distortment of my words, eh? |

tried to do feathers on his head didn't look right so I left him bald...he's still a snake with wings which makes him cool...
davincipoppalag (Mar 14, 2006)
I would like this a lot more if the snake, itself were a bit clearer , particularly the head part. It's a cool creature for sure |

That's a tough choice. Very compelling picture, so much in that eye.
saucy (Feb 13, 2006)
Doesn't it sort of suck when you draw something so awesome and no one comments? This is a great picture. It has a sort of unique feel to it, you know? Good job.

scarred, forgotten, only half a face, fading away into the background, never amounting to more than a shadow...hollow stare seeing nothing.
davincipoppalag (Feb 9, 2006)
I like the hair and the hollow stare in the eyes.Nice drawing.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 9, 2006)
I think you have potential.turned monitor brightness all the way up...didn't realize there was still little bits of color where I did't want them. My normal setting is brightness 50 contrast 100...apparently...I never knew that before.

EEEEEEEEEEEEE I drew a bubble!!! It is really hard to draw something that is mostly nothing...I used no reference, I did however spend about 20 minutes looking a different bubbles to get the basic idea down. Definately has room for improvement but I am proud of it. The timer is off but I did spend at least 30 minutes on it.
davincipoppalag (Jan 19, 2006)
In all this. I was simply saying that Kraisa did a wonderful job drawing this from her memory reference and that I can't do it without looking at a physical reference. As Zack said, its all semantics, really, I was just making an observation and in no way did I intend to disparage this wonderful piece ((Kraisa))
SYTHE (Jan 20, 2006)
I'll just agree to disagree and say that I still love this peice. Sorry for being so anal.
Kraisa (Feb 9, 2006)
LOL I never came back to see what happened after my last comment on this. It seems I sparked quite a debate! I appreciate the kudos for my picture. I understand the different points of view. I had never seen someone told that a picture was ref. when the atist mentioned that it wasn't I guess that is why I was insulted. That and I was feeling particularlly moody that day.(I can see how it was most likely merely a way to play on words and their meanings) Really really no hard feelings held towards any of you! Though it was nice to see people talking without coming up with crap like "yeah well your mom!" Each comment seems to be a well thought out statement of opinions! It was actually refreshing.
Shoebox (edited Feb 9, 2006)
no kidding, that was one of the best debates I'e seen in picture comments in awhile. Lovely picture Kraisa! The bubble is just perfect, very realistic lighting. |

For my Mommy...who loves her cheesey sci-fi!(She has a DVD collection of this particular one cause her tapes died)You know I think he is actually funnier looking than this drawing I just couldn't quite pull it off...oh well it was fun.
Alex-Cooper (Jan 26, 2006)
Dr.who rocks. Got all thirty or whatever years of the show on tape. Because bootlegging is the way to go.
Kraisa (Jan 26, 2006)
lol yeah that is what my Mom had but the tapes started to die from over use, so my dad bought DVD's from some place on line...Tom Baker was her favorite Dr. It's pretty good stuff.
Sweetcell (Jan 27, 2006)
Tom Baker, there can only be one Who. He looked funny, but sexy.
