Ramen!!

This is my half of an art trade thingy. This is my friend, Zui's character, Rikku in her Buu outfit. I did her hands like that because thats kinda how she draws them. This is the reference: http://www.deviantart.com/view/5480438/ & The swirly noodles are ramen. The timer is off. (again) I did a bunch o' stuff inbetween.

Oie! I love Ramen! *is currently eating Ichiban with Hashi* The wrist are two pinched in, like hourglasses, and the ramen looks like ite glued to the fork But I like the eyes, like glass orbs, and the way the Buu Outfit was modified for a girl, Good!

Read the rules if you haven't! Poll: Do you think there should be an Expert Level board? Expert level is the next step up from advanced, where pictures have a level of finish and detail that sets them apart from the rest. Professional artists would have a hard time finding anything major to validly critisize. Drawings here would most likely be posted far and few between with 5 hours as a reasonable minimum time for this board. You would get ...

Yeah, I know ... :(Let's say that I'm not really good at close-up ... :p I tried to give her a "girly face" ... I hope it's good now. :P
Now I realize that her nose and mouth are not well placed ... Damn ! I'll try to fix that later.

Well, as merely a segestion, maybe you shoul show more hair on the side or longer bangs. Also eyelashes would help, but I kinda like em the way they are n.n But I agree with Marcello, the person looks like eiter a young by, or a tom boy, But aside from that, I like this especialy the hair

She looks very beautiful! I love the colors, & how they blend! But as ToraNeko said, to make her look more girly-ish, perhaps show some longish hair billowing around her face. I think this picture shows alot of motion, the way the bangs are placed and the sea in the back. :D |

What scares me about this is the nose. It looks like it should be a side view... O.o.. But Other then that, I like this! A round face like that is cute, but thoughtful at the same time, like Chihiro from Spirited Away (Japanese with subtitles is better) Same iead applies for the eyes, I like the icey shading of them, and the cute little dashes at the sides n.n

Its always the noses! X| More often than not, they turn out big. Perhaps its because mine is big.. *feels nose* Spirited Away is great! Though I haven't watched it with the subtitles. Grr, the hair gave me much trouble! If you watch the animation a bit, I kept changing the hair style around. But now I'm satisfied with the piece, and am very happy it received comments! :D |

I was planning on drawing in a dark mahogony table with a fruit bowl on top, but now im not sure, what with the way its turning out... Any one have any ideas?

Perhaps its a piece of paper.. Or the reddish-colored surface of Mars? A dessert, and paper grocery bag..? I have a bunch of ideas but I doubt you'd be interested in those.

Actually, it sorta looks like a sunset going over the ocean reflecting the orange and red rays on it.If you could maybe draw seagulls and some boats, I think it'd work out just fine.

oh wow people are so creative and nice! thats what i like about the oekaki/art in general community. except sometimes you get ignorant jerks and thats never cool...oh grace, i think you should put some wood grain in there...for some fine detail...detail is time consuming and maybe you might end up pulling your hair out...stressing and all....but! its way worth it in the end :) |
