Wonderful..I like how you did her neck.. and the eyes are wonderful
Gigge (Jun 20, 2005)
Nope, not me. I wish I were that cute, lol. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Knockoff: I can never tell how blotchy something is or not. I have three screen settings and nothing I do looks right in all three. Most other people's work does though. I must be missing something.

Knockoff (Jun 20, 2005)
Well, I think it's for of a transition problem. The lighting right below her left eye (as if we were facing here) could use a bit more blending, thats all.
brenndurdrykkur (Jun 20, 2005)
the skin is nice, especially in the neck

It was probably my best effot out of all the portraits, pretty lame to see it lost like that.
Gigge (Jun 23, 2005)
Aww, man. You're making me feel guilty. Your stuff is so awesome. I would have loved to see it.

Did you get a screen capture? Marcello puts those up on occassion when the program screws up, doesn't he?
Kloxboy (Jun 23, 2005)
It's so crazy, I took a screen shot of all the portraits I did so far, except for this one, what a shitty coincidence.
Gigge (Jun 23, 2005)
Yeah, it is. But, not being able to submit anything at all right now is a much bigger problem.

No idea what I was thinking when I started this.

That's one interpretation sephiroth. I was thinking more along the lines of he's in lurve. Prettied himself up to go courting. Look at those lovesick eyes. I'm sure he would agree that he's looking very sexy, Lori. ;) I probably should have made him blush.
Noremac (Jun 16, 2005)
fuckin wookies
Gigandas (Jun 17, 2005)
This is pretty cool actually. I like looking at the transition of the cheek textures to the hair. I get some strange comfort in viewing that. It's always fun just starting a piece having no idea what you're gonna draw and you add on little things that you think will help the piece out, and then view the outcome. It's like a surprise to yourself :).
Gigge (Jun 19, 2005)
Thanks Gig. It is fun to do that sometimes. It often depends on what the outcome is though. ;)

No reference. Beginner needs a bigger canvas so I can stop cluttering other boards.

I like the dark skin. Fantastic for not having a ref. Good job!
Kloxboy (Jun 2, 2005)
It's small but it's pretty cool. Nice work, the highlights give this portrait nice form and contrast.

Yeah, I know Lori. It's more than a little odd. Thanks Sincity and Davin. I'm glad it made someone laugh. :D
ironoxide_red (Jun 16, 2005)
Well. I'm glad I don't live in Antarctica! :D
Gigge (Jun 16, 2005)
Yes, the truck jacknifed and there was a frozen vegetable break. Antarctica has never been the same. In fact, the name seems to have been changed to Antartica.

It looks real enough. I feel like I can touch the fur. Greatness.
Gigge (May 29, 2005)
Thanks everyone for your encouragement. :D

Yeah, Zack, the muzzle is too small and there are a number of deviations and errors. I'm not sure I have the patience to correct anything in this one though. I'll have to try to stick closer to the reference in future realism exercises.
Cordelia_Pink (edited May 31, 2005)
He/she/it looks fierce and cuddable at the same time. What a wild cat! Your meticulous-ness made this picture turn out great! Wowza.

laurael (May 23, 2005)
These are strange looking birds, aren't they? Good job on it... :) Hope you feel better.
Gigge (May 24, 2005)
Thanks for the comments everyone. I do feel better, Laurel. I honestly think I got a little seasick from staring at all the water.
HunterKiller_ (May 28, 2005)
This deserves showcase! Everything on the bird is so well done. The water looks nice, and the all the colours are very well chosen.

Shiek (Apr 2, 2005)
Awesome. Very colorful and beautiful, but I feel the background could use a little more work.
davincipoppalag (Apr 2, 2005)
This is a great , colorful and intricate one Gigge! I love this, and would love it as a stained-glass panel!
emmamommalag (Apr 3, 2005)
