2nd one of the zodiac series: Libra"One of the goblet holds life, the other contain deadth. I watch them coming to me and begging for a sip. I shed all my tears till blood filled my eyes. Little did they know, death can be a blessing, while the life without love will make you a living dead." a little background story for this character: she was sick and her lover stole this sweet nectar which will grand immortality. As a punishment, her lover died and though she may live, she has to hold the goblets contain life and death.

Whatever you did, you got it just right. Wonderful depth and perspective on the arms, cup's not flat, and I love the way the robe is *gauzey* looking. I like wicked art stuff, never drew any.... maybe I should try something evil? A sunny, flowery picture.... with something EVIL! lol

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. DBA: my old logo used to be a crazy sunflower with sharp teeth grow out of a skull... XD So there, sunny flowery and something evil!

Do you really think this belongs on beginner's^^;;?At least kick it up into intermediate.If there's no reference involved, that's amazing.But since I don't know, all I can say is that it looks great^^.The eye is just....too well done.Umm...if i were to be giving a critique, it might be that the lips seems too shiny and if you're looking at her face rather than at her mouth, it looks more like she's smiling with her teeth being visible.Otherwise, it's really good^^. |

She has a very sweet face. Very detailed, but her dress shouldn't be so bold looking on her skin. You have 2 different textures put on to one painting.

It looks nice overall, but seems to have the bubbly look on the face.Maybe you could tone it down more...?I like how you aren't afraid to mix unusual colors into the drawing.

Can any one guess who? Any way...tried a different approach to upstraight perfected realism, gave it a sketchy artsy look without loosing too much of the original's quality I suppose...I'm not very good at copying from color photo's but at least I tried. Enjoy! ;)

Hey, You've come a long way, baybee! It actually kinda looks like him! I would so have not even attempted this, you are braver than I :). You are doin great. I can't believe how much you have progressed, still in awe of that. Isn't this site a great place to learn stuff? Dontcha love it?

Appollo says that Cupid's arrows are just toys so Cupid, to get back at him, shoots this nymph with a led arrow and she suddenly never wants love so she runs to her father and pleads with him to help her prevent from ever having to be married then cupid shoots apollo with a golden arrow and he falls helplessly in love with the nymph who refuses love he runs after her and she is always just out of his reach when he finally gains on her she cries out to her father who immediately turns her into a tree...a Laurel tree and appollo is heartbroken because his first true love is now a tree and so he took her bark and made a lyre and took her leaves and made a crown of laurel leaves that's why the greeks wore those funny leaf crowns

It's done! I had to draw it between school and lessons and so on. Thank you so much for all the room. Please tell me what you guys think of this because I really like it (except the trees). I tried the intermediate but I stopped cause I'm kinda scared to post on there. Please comment...

Nice job^^!I definitely like it so.....*prints screen*XD.I really like all the greenery you put into the picture and the grass is awesome><.I like the guy's little leaf crown too, it's really small and detailed^^.But seriously, the grass has this ups-and-downs feeling to it that really makes want you to stare at it for awhile XD.Very interesting drawing......dang, I like this one a LOT... |
