2nd out of the BB house...I bought myself a tablet today but i cant get it to install for some reason so im still stuck with my crappy mouse :( did any1 else have problems installing theirs or have any idea how to get it to work?

You seem like you have some potential here Gemmy. If you keep practicing at it and keeping an eye out for detail and colors, you'll get there. I personally think she needs more shading overall and 3D look to bring this one to life (unless the lighting is very bright in which case, you'd have some white on her skin). My advice here would be, keep practicing realism and you'll see improvement. When you do, it's definitely a satisfying thing :).

I can't tell whether he/she's on a rampage or just playing around, but I can definitely tell that this pic has amazing textures to it. I think it has a lot to do with how you color your works. Nice touches with defining some of the muscular structure on the body and legs :). I'm loving the movement in this one for sure.

Hmm, I think these black and white representations are really your thing Lori :) (besides your awesome cartoons of course :P). You have very simple blocks of shades on it, yet it looks as if it's still a complex figure. |

It's the same damn thing again.More Garbage to throw in. [EDIT] Hmm. Its funny how a misdirected comment turns things into mindless banter. I understand what it means to produce commerical art, I understand and see that other artists are not appreciated, I understand and appreciate the input I already recieve nor was it some stupid cry to recieve more. It was a simple statment that the trend on this art forum is to replicate photos to recieve a particular mass attention and THAT WAS ALL. I already recieve input. People tell me what I need to hear already. You do not need to preach to me; calling me names and other things does not help the fact that I have an opinion. If you have a real problem with me, take it into private. PM me. I'm sure a gaggle of you enjoy arguing in Oekaki submission comments, but this isn't the place for them. I discourage further commenting on the 'subject' herin.

lol man, you all love debates just admit it. Your pictures are different from what I've seen before. It's got some sort of glossiness and softness to it. I'm not sure if I've seen this style before but I think it's great. There are neat lighting effects on this.

Hmm, I'm still not sure why a lot of us put such a huge emphasis on "drawing from the heart/express your feelings" in art. Art is a VERY large field. And I'd hate to burst anyone's bubble, but it's not always about that. What would you call drawing characters or backgrounds for video games? I sure hope you're more for adjusting what the character may look like with the given personality and surroundings in the game, rather than "drawing to express yourself." My point is, art is not always about being able to draw abstract expressive drawings. There is a lot more art you're missing out on if this is the case.

How did I miss this one? This is great. I think it's your best ever. The skin tones are wonderful, and the eyes are beautiful, and the hair is very well done. I still don't know how I miss so much stuff as often as I browse around here. Had to come to your gallery to check out what you'd been up to. :)
