I've heard about this guy alot and last night i finally saw 2 episodes (which happend to be the last two.. ugh >.> ) I thought he's pretty interesting so i desided to draw him!! ^_^ I know that the drawing time is long but i really have no clue how to work this stuff (still) and my bloody hands are killin me >.< Anyway hope you people like!!! ^_~

This is why I can't drawing animals >_< But I thought I should start somewhere. This is a copperhead snake with a slate of rock behind and leaves lying in front. Reference from magazine. Any suggestions on how to add scales?

One of the best things to look for in accuracy of referenced shapes is to look at both the positive and negative shape. Really look at it and form an image of that shape in your mind and put it back down onto the canvas. Then start measuring up shapes with nearby detail to see if you're getting it down accurately. It'll take some effort, but if you're willing to do it, should come to you gradually with practice.

This image was taken on the third day of the Download Festival in Donington this year by a friend of mine with my camera. I was way way down in front for system of a down. It was amazing!! Although people were pushing foward and a load of bodies kept going above us, I could hardly breath. About 4 or 5 songs into the set i decide to crowd surf as i could no longer hold off several thousand SOAD fans pushing into me. It was fun! Definately recommend crowd surfing. Its almost like flying, but a bunch of strangers pushing you along. Totally amazing! The other bands were cool too. I got to see slipknot and their drummers drum antics. I also got to see Trivium, Nightwish, Black Sabbath (YES BLACK SABBATH!!! WITH OZZY OSBOURNE!! which uber rocked), HIM, Billy Idol, Henry Rollins, some pro bmxers as well as pro skateboarders including some of the oldies, and another band i forgets the name of other than all I remember is that Slash from G'n'R plays for them. They were awesome!! Definately gonna do that again!!!!

Ooh, this is pretty nice. The texture really does wonders to the eye you drew. Almost reminds me of one of those make-up commercials/advertisements.Edit: Hi DBA!

Whoa, this is "good" work for anime. I too applaud well done execution in anime although I'm not a big fan of it. It's nice to see confidence in the piece.

I'm unsure if this issue has been addressed. Do you think that it is fair to congratulate, and perhaps even put a drawing into the showcase, if the artist copies an image exactly? I can imagine how wonderfully some people do copy images. It looks exact, and very sharp. But alas, it is still copied. It is almost like plagarism. There was no originality, not even changes, to some images. And while others slave away at creative drawings, with unique designs and skills, and receive little praise,...
