my wrist is killing me. wow. i've been talking on msn and drawing at the same time so the time is super-duper high. lol super-duper-day. say that really fast ten times. its my new saying. i go to school and say that and thier like u too. Is this the right board? So, what made you start drawing, and what made you keep at it? (there's probably already been a thread on this...) Well, let's see...as for me, I originally started somewhere around first grade. What did I draw? Animals. Why? I got some book called "Draw Rainforest Animals" or something, and used that. ahahah, this is great. colours are delicious. i feel the need to comfort your frustrated little man (no sexual innuendo intended).my two cents: i don't feel there's anything inherently wrong with anime-- there's some incredibly skilled masters of the style out there, no doubt. but there's a hell of a lot more anime that doesn't fit into that category, and the pervasivity (i made up that word, but it sounds good) of it is insane. it' impossible to avoid all the art and artists of the style-- many of whom are very young and therefore naturally more inclined to fanaticism-- creating sheer armies of anime eyesores. what ticks me off the most is that 95% of it looks the same. like a great big ball of siamese twins from a million different mother. mmm. not the greatest similie. needless to say, i can't say i'm much a fan.

Oh gawd. This drawing describes exactly how I feel every time I get on DA. I love good anime, and I love stylized cartoons; but goddamn, I also like to see some diversity. Especially since my artistic style is still very limited and it does good to expand. I see enough anime bullcrap in my notebook every day, and that's why I like getting online to see other stuff. o3oNothing wrong with anime... It's just.... A little annoying sometimes. eh. "Anime style" is just stylized anatomy. American-Comic style uses stylized anatomy as well. There are good Anime artists, and goon American Comic artists. I don't see why we need to bash those artists who are still learning, wether they use anime or american comic style. Or maybe I'm just ranting because I'm a bad anime artist myself :\ dunno. |

I always wonder JUST WHAT SCIENCE thinks the future will do, anyhow? no one except the very rich will have the new kidneys.We're already on the cusp, here,in Oregon, of losing ALL FRUITS & VEGETABLES TO ONLY THE RICH!! The huge crop failures will put us on the entrance to famine-ville. Yeah, in the U.S. What a future!! just like "Soylent Green," that film is haunting. How could anyone predict humans would over-populate the earth like RABBITS? You know what they do with over-populated deer herds; time to go game-hunting!! heh. If I were a starving deer, i'd prefer the hunter. it's quicker.
