It looks like a broken bird skull, The beak seems a tad to long to be a seagull, so, i'm gonna guess say it's either a Pelican, or a stork.Touched up the shadows.

I don't know if this artist ever comes around here anymore, but I have enjoyed this picture so much I thought I'd say so, just in case. I used to go see the Kodo (heartbeat) drummers when they would come to Seattle. It was such an amazing experience. This picture really does capture the intensity of the artform/discipline/expression.

This isn't really meant to be a very 'artistic' piece so don't bother with the criticism (unless you want to, but I'll just ignore it anyway...). A quick drawing that sums up how I've been feeling for a good while now. I'm sorry it's depressing, but I thought maybe drawing it out would act as a type of venting to help relieve some of this depression. Feel free to move to beginner if needed (no biggie).

Niel.....this is the most moving piece I have ever seen from you. I could say so much more, but you know that I know where you are coming from, and you know where I am coming from and.... hey.... great depiction of a heart. :)

the colors are very cold (and well done). wherever ever that heart is (empty space?) it seems distant.are those heart strings coming from the tubes? i think i like the notion behind this and the expression passed more than anything about this piece.

I searched on google images for "face" because I was going to draw the first picture of a face I saw. The first result ended up being a face blown off the head with plenty of blood and guts, so i decided to go through a couple pages and look for one... I never really took you seriously (art nor comments) until I saw this. You are paying attenton to the right artist(s)... (obviously Axil62 being the most influential)... and I see the potential in you to pull this off with some pratctice. Main thing with the style you're going for, it isn't technical, you gotta have that stuff down like the back of your hand, and then it's all aout passion.... If you want to paint like Dan paints, you have to feel it. You have the potential to do this, I see it. Keep painting, only next time relax a bit more.

thanks for the comments. I realize this doesn't look exactly like the ref. I was focusing more getting similar colours and just getting practice with the brush. I also definitely feel what Im drawing when I do it. I've been keeping a rather loose style lately because I like to just draw out of my head and see what comes up.

i personally would like to see you continue such practices once in a while. cant hurt at all.shit, i could use someof the same. anyways, this is close to the ref, i do see what was said about the cheek bone and nose, but still. great atempt. |

A collage of different things that are in the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame in Waco(Subtract 11 hours from the clock, something weird happened in one of the revisions) ************ She was a girl on a wagon train Headed west across the plains The train got lost in a summer storm They couldn't move west and they couldn't go home Then she saw him ridin' through the rain He took charge of the wagons and he saved the train She looked down and her heart was gone The train went west but she stayed on In Lonesome Dove
