I love the style this is done in, and I agree with Christopher in that she is wicked looking. She looks like a Salem witch. :)
fleeting_memory (Sep 14, 2006)
very soft feeling, good positioning too.
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Sep 15, 2006)
both of your recent pieces are very different but I like them both. This reminds me of something an artist did a while back but I have no clue what the title is or the artist...I want to say Monet...anywho I like it :D

This belongs here squee, it's cute and I can feel the playfulness as he decides whether to chase the butterfly. And I agree the whiskers and little stones are a nice touch.
Miss_DJ (Sep 14, 2006)

The Silver Tree stands alone....
Gradually it turned from wood to stone.....
The stone they say turned to rust...
They wondered then, would it turn to dust?

Thank you too Cloxboy! Wow, I'm really honored! That was my first (but not last) contest here. I'm a bit shocked, to say the least.
I'm glad you liked my entry =)

I had one of those growing up (but I can't remember if it was Anne or Andy) And I still have a childrens book from the 80's. Thanks for the memories Kute. :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 13, 2006)
Raggedy Ann! :) I loved the book, and my Raggedy Ann doll was one of my favorites, although I put her through way more hell than Marcella did in the stories...my Alaskan Simoan dog Snow White ripped my Raggedy Ann's head off in the end. I think we should start calling Marcello "Marcella"... it's much closer to home. :D

I'm glad you did this picture, it brought back lots of funny memories, and you did such a cute job in depicting them.
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
Thanks everyone for the great comments on these, I guess they are just "Old Favorites" of a lot of people. Actually I do paint a lot of childrens characters for pay but on canvas I do much better than on the net. I am really not half as good as I would like to be. I have painted so many Winnie the Pooh pictures I have grown not to like "The Pooh" much. LOL My favorite childrens characters to paint is Disney, Mickey and Minnie. I just love them and could never paint them enough.

Looooong way to go to be finished with this one... Disney has the greatest artists... tough to even try to emulate one, impossible for me, really.

They look good enough to eat! My little granddaughters picked most of my tomatoes and threw them all over the back yard last weekend. Grrrrr..
Sweetcell (Sep 14, 2006)
Pick one, make a sauce.
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
I like 'em just sliced with salt and peppa! My mouth is watering as I type. Actually my favorite tomatoe are the "green fried" ones. Yummy!

hello. I am a human being. This is a bundle of dubiously obtained elements that has managed to convince itself it can think. Throughout my lifetime, the fluctuation of certain chemical balances in myself will produce various sensations, which will cause me to do or not do things which will aid or hinder my survival. One day, I will die. This will be sad, but only for other people, as I will be dead, and presumably whatever happens to people who die will be happening to me. Maybe this is nothing at all, but no one who knows can tell you.

/emo. This will be less crappy one day.

I love the colors and the flow, AMAZING!
suntan_toes (Sep 11, 2006)
It's hard to stop looking at it. The colors are great.
Sweetcell (Sep 14, 2006)
This reminds me of Solves work. I can't add anymore to what's been said. It's a wonderful warm sensual piece and I love how you tapered the lines (I love tapering lines) Oh, I guesse I can add more to what's been said. Must do more of these.

And I love the description.
Renuar (Sep 16, 2006)
Ahh yes...this is very much to my taste.
I especially like the bottom part of the picture, it's very well woven.
