I may go in and add some more details later but for now it's pretty much finished. This is my first portrait in the series so I didn't get to crazy, I'll experiment a bit more with skin tones in the next portrait.

The only part that bothers me is where you can see the outside edges of the outerline... otherwise it's got a great depth to it, and I really like the shading and shape of the nose. ^^

wait, where's the rest of his/her shoulder? and um, not too many guys have eyes or lips shaped like that or wear purple lipstick, but hey, it's 2005 right?

edit: I'm starting to think maybe all these girly men are some sort of prolonged karma thing for the italian masters sticking boobs on male torsos and calling them women.

I tried not to add too much detail to the background so it wouldn't take away from the unicorn. I can erase it if you don't like it, because I have it on a different layer so it would be easy.

This is really pretty and striking, I have to say I think it would be better if the background was a lot darker, maybe the unicorn would stand out more, and it would aid the drawing in general. *shrug* Very pretty otherwise. :D

I want it to be just like this, it might be finished, what I'm looking for are critiques. I am blinded by the fact that it's my drawing, it looks right to me. Ref.

Should it be cleaner? Should the lines be darker? Should I add a color for shading/contrast? Should I shade more like I have? Is it fine the way it is?

_{This can be moved to intermediete if you think so. This is for a local bands website, I was asked eons ago to do it, I have 6 more people to do, but fortunatly they are all head and shoulders shots. Then I'm going to take the individual drawings and put them together somewhat like the ref. I'm not sure though. lol.}

I found this photo and at first I thought it was digital art, but I was reading the photographer's explanation of what she had done... she placed a laser light beneath a rose and photographed it. I thought it was so unique and pretty that I wanted to do it here.

I think there's a difference between Lethargy and Sloth. Lethargy is not having the energy to do something while Sloth is just not bothering to do it.

This is really eye catching. It's hard for me to tell if it's a jet fighter dude flying upward into the clouds or if we're up in the clouds looking down on a speedboat in the ocean. Or I'm off entirely, lol. Great pic. :D
