This is beautiful, I also prefer the remake of her face. You made her much more delicate looking. The incredible colorful background really gives the "fantasy" look and feel to this. I have always loved your work.....I have followed it on other websites. I am glad to see you drawing here. The tools are much better and for a fantastic artist as yourself you sure have learned them well. Unlike myself....I am still trying. I could only hope one day to draw as magnificent as you. Excellent work!

Three layers here. Gradient first layer. The background foliage was nest. The the foreground foliage and the butterfly came third.

This is very cool Dave. I would like to enter this contest but I do not understand how to do the textures. Or, do you just draw textures, or do you import them from somewhere.....Just me, confused again.Laura

QTgillie- The applets aren't set up in a way for you to import textures from anywhere, so you'll have to draw them yourself. What davincipoppalag did here was draw the sky as if it was wood, the sea as if it was made of bricks, etc. If you have any questions about it go ahead and ask.

After seeing the ref, I have to say I like your drawing better than the photo. There is something funny going one with the eyes, yours look more natural and believable.

I was seeing this awesome movie I bought, El Topo (The Mole), about a gunslinger in a extreme surrealist seting, it was so good... but the last few minutes of the movie were scratched or someting ;C Now I gota ask my unclefor his copy, but I won't see him in a week. Damn ò.o - EDIT Hmm... I ended just fooling around with lascaux as I thougt about how uncertain is the future D: And how can I achieve my self imposed long termed objectives.
