emmamommalag (Jan 30, 2006)
I think it suits it very well. A pretty lady.. someone you know?
JoeNobody (Jan 30, 2006)
I agree with momma, the coloring suits this very well. Nice work
Jervy (Jan 30, 2006)
Hi and thank you for the comments.
I like to think I use alot of expression in my linework but sometimes it ends up looking like a sketch than a drawing. It didn't quite work well in this one but I'm shifting the focus to develop my coloring skills further.
e.momma: lol I wish...

Nightmare (Jan 29, 2006)
...Elliot sent a robotic E.T. into the ship. Blew the thing up 24 minutes into orbit of the Earth. The real E.T. was captured by Elliot, and was sold to KFC for a good sum of cash. E.T. then escaped from there, but got some 3rd degree burns on his face. He now lives in the woods, and emerges with the cry "Home, home."

Edit: Yes, late night retardation story.

lol. I like the dodgey colours.
davincipoppalag (Jan 29, 2006)
Ah...I wondered what that "home home" stuff was about. This reminds me of some of Dino's.

I couldn't quite get the dragon how I wanted it. I did like how the lightening came out though. Was not feeling good and had taken some theraflu. LOL

I think it needs more contrast, and definitly strong highlights restricted to the edges of the form to identify the light source from the lightning.
Felistorm (Jan 30, 2006)
I see what you mean. :) I was so fuzzy headed last night and couldn't figure it out but I see now. ;)
hideyourface (Jan 30, 2006)
the lightning should be pure white considering it's extremely bright, and it should be casting a bright light on the fasr side of the dragon. I also think that all the colours having the same saturation kind of looks weird.

It is a dark pic but I'm starting to get a shading technique now to just go lighter with it. It kind of reminded me of my walk in the dark pic that I really like. It may seem kind of plain but there was a lot of going over and regoing over etc. :)

I tried making the eyes a bit different then what I normally do in this one.
I thought it turned out ok.

Done to see what I could do without using the blend tool.

The neck wattle gave me an eye twitch. To the point where I yelled at the screen, 'Damn you neck wattle!', and then I was reminded of my grade 8 com tech teacher, who also had a neck wattle. I used to watch it waddle instead of listening to her. And then I couldn't stop laughing, so I gave up. Stupid neck wattle.

Looks like you're doing great without the blend tool. The word is wattle, btw. Waddle is a way of walking... ducks waddle.
patienceisoverrated (Jan 30, 2006)
ahhh... Wattle it is, then. *Goes to change* You learn something every day.
davincipoppalag (Jan 30, 2006)

I don't want to grow up. :(
staci (Jan 30, 2006)
i like this. while its kinda crude technique-wise , you definately captured the emotion/action going on here. which, even when copying straight from a ref is difficult at times.
SYTHE (Jan 30, 2006)
I love these little tiffs, they're always so funny. That's why I love this place! I still say I like this peice, so there! :P
TaCO (Jan 30, 2006)

Oh, thank god, the flowers survived. I was so worried! The guy died...... oh well. :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 29, 2006)
Yes, as long as the daisies made it. What a relief. Yep, "if you cant duct it, f*@# it, I I always say. I am loving these, can't wait to see what happens... next?
terracotta (edited Jan 30, 2006)
You really only need two things to be a Mr. Fixit. If it moves and you don't want it to..duct tape. If you want it to move and it won't...WD40. Bob's Yer Uncle. Oh, wait.

I'm glad you fixed the RED CLAY pot. :) I just noticed the little straw splints for the daisies. You are too much!
gerbear (Apr 22, 2006)
looked at the pic..saw the straws...still on the floor laffing!
