i like this. while its kinda crude technique-wise , you definately captured the emotion/action going on here. which, even when copying straight from a ref is difficult at times.

Oh, thank god, the flowers survived. I was so worried! The guy died...... oh well. :)

Yes, as long as the daisies made it. What a relief. Yep, "if you cant duct it, f*@# it, I I always say. I am loving these, can't wait to see what happens... next?

You really only need two things to be a Mr. Fixit. If it moves and you don't want it to..duct tape. If you want it to move and it won't...WD40. Bob's Yer Uncle. Oh, wait. I'm glad you fixed the RED CLAY pot. :) I just noticed the little straw splints for the daisies. You are too much!

Don't know why I decided to draw this.

Just Wow. white is a really hard color to shade like that, i think. and youve done it beauifully. im looking forward to the finished piece.I don't feel well enough today to actually do something noticable.
I can't seem to finish this picture! I have no clue what to do for a background and the comb looks horrible. Oh well.
kejoco (Feb 3, 2007)
Not sure why this didn't get more comments...i think its awesome, even unfinished |

Trying to figure out how to do lineart on here.... tis HARD. Things that take me minutes on paper take hours on the computer. Also, whenever I turn on AA, it'll work fine for 15 minutes or so, but eventually the applet freezes and everything dies. Does this happen to anyone else, or is my computer just old and slow?Edit--> Just noticed that the title had 2 E's on the end.... now I feel like a typing impaired moron XP Done! Many thanks to Maiko for the extra space ^^
terracotta (Jan 30, 2006)
I am extremely reluctant to say this to someone who has patienceisovertated as a name :O but...I think the white outline is too much contrast. It's okay, don't get me wrong. But I'd try a medium-to-light tone outline here. Just my two cents. Don't hit me. (cringes)
patienceisoverrated (edited Jan 30, 2006)
Don't worry. I'm not a violent kinda gal. And the white outline is actually transparent, so all I have to do is create a new layer and add colour behind, so it should be super-easy to change. I like things to look nice... so my dislike of having to be patient is usually overridden (is that even a word?) by my desire to have things look nice, when it comes to art :) Better?

I drew a really good sketch that looked exactly like me but i accidentally ruined it.... and this is how i feel.sexy.
HunterKiller_ (Jan 28, 2006)
Glad you made something out of it. Me enjoy it much.
davincipoppalag (Jan 28, 2006)
You shouldn't draw so close to the heat, the pictures often melt. This ended up very creepy looking, though, and that's a good thing. |

Yay for left-handed fencers! I'm surprised I haven't done a fencing picture sooner. I love the sport. Anyway, this was referenced from a picture I drew in my sketchbook which was referenced from a photograph. I'm having major artist's block at the moment and just need something to get my creative energies back up. I am the master of mediocrity.
This would be a helluva lot easier with a tablet.
Wow. Looking at the screen for so long has given me a wicked headache. I'm gonna go take a Goody's and lie down for a bit.
davincipoppalag (Jan 28, 2006)
This is terrific. You can feel the motion of the thrust! |
