OMIGOD! I thought I lost 2 hours of work on this, and I was sooo mad, but then I went to revise again and pressed undo a couple times, and IT CAME BACK! I love you, shi-painter. edit---> I am QUEEEEEN of backgrounds. Dammit. Pretend, okay?
Noremac (Feb 26, 2006)
this looks like viscerals stuff. nice job
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 26, 2006)
This is a strange but pleasing combination of things... It looks somewhat "animeish" but, then it has a very realistic, believable quality to it. I love the palette you used, and i really gotta have one of those peasant style/corset things she's wearing. sexy!
patienceisoverrated (Feb 27, 2006)
Thanks DBA... I admire your art a lot, so I like it that you like it. I don't intentionally set out to draw anime, but there are a lot of things I like about it when it's done well, like long, curving lines and gravity-defying hair and clothing. But I can never bring myself to draw it because I can't get around the fact that if you're eyes were that big, your entire head would be taken up by eye socket and there'd be no place to put your brain.

Haha, kinda like how I think Ed, Edd, and Eddy will one day melt into slime due to their super wavy outlines. |

I think it's garbage but I'm not 100% sure. Help me out here
Jervy (Feb 26, 2006)
The dodge and burn tools... If your work starts looking like you threw some photoshop filters on top of it or you rely on it to do your shading then you should ease up.I hate to say it but I think this one is borderline...still interesting to look at though.
sincity (Feb 26, 2006)
I dig it. That's all. Rightio Zack. :}
frootcake (Feb 27, 2006)
i saw it and knew it was you, but its not your usual standard. that could be just because you didn't use a ref? if you didn't then its pretty creative and stick at it dude, its about time you did a pic that was only 9/10
Sweetcell (edited Feb 28, 2006)
Oh my, I absolutely love this one. It's a new favorite of mine by you. If this was for sale I would by it. It's ethereal and speaks to me. Frankly the burn and dodge tools are used perfectly here. Truly Axil, a stunning piece.Just edited to add that this piece feels almost religious to me. Say portraying a modern day saint or apostle. |

You always have nice texture work going on. If you combine smooooth and nice texture, you've got a Lauryn piece in front of you :).club penguin cheats |
