...No ma'am. I'm looking at your boobs.

Hello everyone. Just a random drawing. It's a tad sloppy, but my hand kinda hurts.
I'm getting so rusty at oekaki. D:

An experiment with solids, and a birth of a new style for me. I like how it came out. Life is not smooth, life needs more texture. The style represents texture and life, that is why it is not smooth. Drawing helps frustration, this is the result of my frustrations. Enjoy.

I will use this style again in the future.

Wooow, awesome shading. The purple and pink shades in her skin are so pretty. ♥
davincipoppalag (Aug 4, 2008)
cool looking. I like the eyes and the mouth. The hair is a little solid looking
shults (Aug 4, 2008)
Youv'e got a point in that description there, although i still enjoy soft paintings.

Adorable so far, is she Asian? Know what you mean by how artists transfer looks. I can somewhat draw faces, but not really capture the essence of how somebody really looks.
shults (Aug 4, 2008)
Yes, she is. the fact that you've asked means that I have to fix something to make it more obvious.. eyes maybe?
another thing, any ideas on how to make her pony (is that how they call it english too?-the front short hair) softener?
BTW, She went out somillar to the ref, my problem is more with her expression.
enjoydotcom (Aug 4, 2008)
Actually, the eyes are what gave the Asian part away. In fact, the entire face is well done. just wasn't sure :D.
I have no clue where you're from (Germany or the Netherlands perhaps?), but I know what you mean by pony, in English it's "bangs". When in doubt, first clone the layer of her hair (if you are using layers) to ensure you don't mess up what you have so far. You could either add real thin whisps of hair, or erase some of the hair already there to make it look more tapered. That is at least what I always do to make it look more natural and soft.

I hate when people state like this, but the truth is that im setting this on finished cause i know there's no way im even trying to do more to her dress..
what's the point? its not fun. it wont lead me anywhere i want. Im content with the result.
oh, and I'd like to get more tips/critiques on her face and her.

Kitzekatze (Aug 4, 2008)
oh^^ what a pity:)
enjoydotcom (Aug 4, 2008)
Oh, I thought you could, too bad, but maybe you can still draw on that size and instead of posting it, keep it to yourself and post on DA ;)
Kitzekatze (Aug 4, 2008)
hehe:D yep, that's probably the best idea^^

Rashinal (Aug 4, 2008)
Just saw this today, i have to say, really isn't intermediate.More of a beginners work.
I don't really care what anybody else says. ^.^
Kitzekatze (Aug 4, 2008)
I really dont care too. but I got sick of the discussion.
Flubbles (edited Aug 4, 2008)
i like brussel sprouts, and you can all kiss my ring! lol joking :p Id say van goghs sunflowers were only intermediate but that paintings worth millians! I think the 3 galleries should be called 1 2 and 3 because some quick sketchy drawings can also be advanced. The galleries should be judged on time spent, so the more effert you put in the longer they stay on the board.
