Makes me sad to think you feel disappointed with this. The white-chalk-on-black-paper effect is great. That highlighted cheek is beautiful. And the mood of the drawing is truly wonderful. I can just hear him playing some melody that makes you feel like it's 3:00 AM and you're the only person left of Earth.

i find this painting of mine a bit odd....it reminds me very much of some russian style paintings/statues...almost communistic, but not as good of course

I don't know what you had in mind as your initial intention for this piece, but if it isn't what you envisioned it would be.... be satisfied for what it is now... it's a very interesting piece of art. I like the way the lines and colors meet and are all fluid together. You achieved something very aesthetically pleasing here.

Done to see what I could do without using the blend tool.

The neck wattle gave me an eye twitch. To the point where I yelled at the screen, 'Damn you neck wattle!', and then I was reminded of my grade 8 com tech teacher, who also had a neck wattle. I used to watch it waddle instead of listening to her. And then I couldn't stop laughing, so I gave up. Stupid neck wattle.
