This has that urban graffiti feel to it. Nice job.

Trying to figure out how to do lineart on here.... tis HARD. Things that take me minutes on paper take hours on the computer. Also, whenever I turn on AA, it'll work fine for 15 minutes or so, but eventually the applet freezes and everything dies. Does this happen to anyone else, or is my computer just old and slow?

Edit--> Just noticed that the title had 2 E's on the end.... now I feel like a typing impaired moron XP

Done! Many thanks to Maiko for the extra space ^^

I am extremely reluctant to say this to someone who has patienceisovertated as a name :O but...I think the white outline is too much contrast. It's okay, don't get me wrong. But I'd try a medium-to-light tone outline here. Just my two cents. Don't hit me. (cringes)
patienceisoverrated (edited Jan 30, 2006)
Don't worry. I'm not a violent kinda gal. And the white outline is actually transparent, so all I have to do is create a new layer and add colour behind, so it should be super-easy to change. I like things to look nice... so my dislike of having to be patient is usually overridden (is that even a word?) by my desire to have things look nice, when it comes to art :)

So, I did some art for someone, and I think it turned out ok. O.o I made my usual lines thicker on the outside. The stockings look kind of creepy, but stockings all the same.

Personally, I think the flowers look like some type of popcorn from a Steven King book. >.>

I couldn't quite get the dragon how I wanted it. I did like how the lightening came out though. Was not feeling good and had taken some theraflu. LOL

I think it needs more contrast, and definitly strong highlights restricted to the edges of the form to identify the light source from the lightning.
Felistorm (Jan 30, 2006)
I see what you mean. :) I was so fuzzy headed last night and couldn't figure it out but I see now. ;)
hideyourface (Jan 30, 2006)
the lightning should be pure white considering it's extremely bright, and it should be casting a bright light on the fasr side of the dragon. I also think that all the colours having the same saturation kind of looks weird.

"It's A Dream"

In the morning when I wake up and listen to the sound
Of the birds outside on the roof
I try to ignore what the paper says
And I try not to read all the news
And I'll hold you if you had a bad dream
And I hope it never comes true
'Cause you and I been through so many things together
And the sun starts climbing the roof

It's a dream
Only a dream
And it's fading now
Fading away
It's only a dream
Just a memory without anywhere to stay

The Red River stills flows through my home town
Rollin' and tumblin' on its way
Swirling around the old bridge pylons
Where a boy fishes the morning away
His bicycle leans on an oak tree
While the cars rumble over his head
An aeroplane leaves a trail in an empty blue sky
And the young birds call out to be fed

It's a dream
Only a dream
And it's fading now
Fading away
It's only a dream
Just a memory without anywhere to stay

An old man walks along on the sidewalk
Sunglasses and an old Stetson hat
The four winds blow the back of his overcoat away
As he stops with the policeman to chat
And a train rolls out of the station
That was really somethin' in its day
Picking up speed on the straight prairie rails
As it carries the passengers away

It's gone
Only a dream
And it's fading now
Fading away
Only a dream
Just a memory without anywhere to stay

It's a dream
Only a dream
And it's fading now
Fading away
It's only a dream
Just a memory without anywhere to stay

It's a dream
Only a dream
And it's fading now
Fading away

This is like a book illustration plate, and judging from the picture, I want to read the book.

yeah, i looked at the leg after iw as done, and i figured it would've looked better if i just dropped about 100 pixels from the height, and did an upper body shot

It is a dark pic but I'm starting to get a shading technique now to just go lighter with it. It kind of reminded me of my walk in the dark pic that I really like. It may seem kind of plain but there was a lot of going over and regoing over etc. :)

...Elliot sent a robotic E.T. into the ship. Blew the thing up 24 minutes into orbit of the Earth. The real E.T. was captured by Elliot, and was sold to KFC for a good sum of cash. E.T. then escaped from there, but got some 3rd degree burns on his face. He now lives in the woods, and emerges with the cry "Home, home."

Edit: Yes, late night retardation story.
