Well, I'm back.
I've improved on my own, but, I feel like advice would be nice. I guess I'll be a bit better. My hormones were kicking in and that sucked :(. That's it.
I hope I'll just... not be as I was before...

i still don't understand why people use lascaux, but if that is what you find easy to use.

the ear farthest away from us could be a bit smaller, other than that, you have improved with the horse pictures.
i just knew you would draw again ;)
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (Jul 17, 2006)
Yup.... I felt the need.

It's easier for me. I like it much better too.

Horses rock. I'm bringin my first sketchbook to camp, since I like shape better. Plus, it has more spaces. Too many doodles in there...

SMALLER EAR! PHEAR IT!!!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jul 17, 2006)
so you went to horse camp, and you actually saw a horse, and you still think this is what they look like? lol... just kidding... :) He's kinda cute, but I think if you will use a reference of a real horse, and try to follow it very closely at least 6 times, the seventh one you could do without a reference and it would probably be great.

my advice is learn to love your hormones, they are wonderful little things...., I love mine dearly.

November: I use Lascaux because it doesn't suck.
NOVEMBER93 (Jul 17, 2006)
i know lascaux doesn't suck, i just don't like it. i think it's awesome that people use it and their pictures turn out wonderfully. like your pictures, DBA
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jul 17, 2006)
aw, you're sweet, thank you. :) I like it the bestest.
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (Jul 17, 2006)
I haven't gone to camp yet... I have to wait for two weeks. I have to go to the rec center for those weeks starting the day after tommarrow. It sucks. Emily doesn't think so though. Liar. Being rampaged by all those little midgets that run around screaming..... pfft....
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jul 17, 2006)
:).... I wish I were your age again and going to "horse camp". Don't forget to hug them around the neck and "snuzzle" with one, and then just stand there, relax, let him breathe really softly in your ear and give you goosebumps. Horses are so sweet. (hah... none of the horses I know would be very tolerant of screaming midgets, somebody would get trampled... sounds more like a wild west circus than horse camp)
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (Jul 17, 2006)
No, for the weeks until I go to camp I'm with the midgets, then I go on a 2 and a half hour drive to go to camp for a week. We learn how to gallop and canter, trail ride overnight, and learn a lot. Maybe some jumping. I haven't been there in years.... I want Dakota to be my horse to ride. He's black with blue eyes. A white stripe too. So cute.
SanzoGirl (Jul 17, 2006)
I went to horse camp last year. Ah, so much fun.
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (edited Jul 17, 2006)
I can't wait for it.... I haven't ridden a horse since spring break...
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jul 17, 2006)
And you should not give up on painting them, either, and don't let anybody tell you that you can't do it. Take your sketch book, sketch the horses and snuzzle with them, and then come back and paint them some more. :) You have lots of potential.

haha... I was laughing at the "jumping" thing... the only real "jumping" I ever did was in Huntsville on a horse named "Cocaine" owned by Joe Beavers.... (who since then has made bazillions of dollars calf roping and retired) He said I shouldn't pick that horse to ride, so I did... and we jumped all right. Fences we weren't supposed to go over, through brush where a rabbit wouldn't fit, till he raked me off on a tree. WHEEEEE :) Best ride of my whole life.

I haven't ridden one in a while either, but I'll be "back in the saddle" again, soon. :)
Enjoy horse camp, be aware that it's a really happy time in your life, have fun.
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (Jul 17, 2006)
Yeah, they all have told me that, and I feel like changing from my old self, so I will. Though I'm NOT giving up my depressing cds. NO WAY. I luff them too much..... I'll be painting a lot when I come back. I'll be sketching a lot when I'm there, and I'll get some help from the trainers too.
Thanks DBA.
NOVEMBER93 (Jul 17, 2006)
that middle part of your comment made me laugh DBA. why would someone name their horse "Cocaine"? of course the way you described it made it sound reasonable :D
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jul 17, 2006)
Well, I walked through the stables, and the initial reason I picked him was for the wild look in his eyes, and he was really fidgety and he looked like fun. When Joe said "that's Cocaine... you do NOT want to ride him" I said "like hell I don't, let's saddle him up" haha... I was sore for a week. (never saw such a collection of laughing cowboys yelling "TOLDJA sooooo!!!!!" :) also - he was big, white, very soft, very dangerous, and a total rush. His name fit him perfectly.

edit : (Mustang Girl... you are going to be changing constantly throughout your life, this is only the beginning. Just don't try to be what somebody else wants you to be. Be you, always)
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (Jul 18, 2006)
Mkay. I won't.

That sounds like fun.... riding a horse named Cocaine... I almost fell into a creek on Liberty.... She was jumping a lot. Just hoping up and down the whole time. She tried to buck me once, and I stayed on, but my shoes fell out of the stirrups, so I was just trying to hold on.
She kinda reminds me of that horse....
