She looks good to me! But "real" people aren't outlined and she seems to be. I think that may be what makes her look cartoony to you.

I think you're right, but I thought she might have been too hard to see if I hadn't...? Maybe I should go back in later and try to fix that...

I think we'd see her. Her red hair and bright blue suit would draw our attention. I like this picture a lot, laurael. You did a great job on that fence and the bushes, too.

This is really good, Laurael! The bushes are fantastic. Emma's right about the outline, but I like cartoony style stuff anyway. A reflection of her in the water would be nice also. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, a skin-colored blur would do.

I think the waters great:)
I agree with Zack about the blur...
also try adding a reflection of her and the diving board in the water(softly)---you can also try repeating her hair(orange) and blue costume somewhere else ever so slightly to make her fit in more as a unit with the rest of the painting...

I would also make the line at her buttocks(of the side of the pool) higher(it looks like shes sitting on the side and not jumping)...there is too much tension there and the composition might be better if its either higher or lower
(but not in exact line with the bottom of the buttocks)

--consider having a different type of green between the grass and the bushes...(maybe adding white subtely to the grass and dark green to the bush?)

I like this new version :D Much brighter and more detailed. I love the additional flowers, the sunny highlights on the gal... and those shadows of the diving board and girl just completed it. Good one

Nice shadow under her now. SPLASH Makes me want to dive in. It's been in the high 90's here for two weeks. The pool is a wonderful refreshment.

Hehe, is this supposed to be you jumping into a pool you got in the backyard or something XD?Love all the tiny details you worked out in this one.This is why everything you see me draw is always pretty up close so I don't have to go adding in the tiniest of details ;).But you on the other hand are good at it^^.

Thank God for pools...IT'S HOT. I wasn't sure about the tiny details, but I wanted to try. Besides, if I were too close up, you couldn't see the pool... :]
