Ooh, pretty. Fantastic job with the fur. And the grass, for that matter. But the snout seems to originate on the face a little too low (below the eye), and the upper part of the snout shouldn't be that small in comparison to the lower jaw. I think it needs more lips, or maybe the lower jaw needs to be smaller...something like that. Do a google search for "wolf", and you're bound to find a picture that'll help. Not that you have to change it. >>
Who is that song by, by the way? I think I've heard it before.
The song is from the 50's or early 60's... I don't know who sings it. I've always thought it was cute. :) (I used a reference picture (not able to link to it) I think you are right about the upper part of the snout next to the nose, it should be just a little bit larger - the origination of it seems to be okay in comparison to the photo. Can't get back in to revise it, though.
Wow....this is yet another great piece^^;;;;.Kinda reminds me of UppityCracker's "Bliss" but an evil version of it.I think VV is right about her comment, but it also looks to me like the snout is a tad too far down from his pair of eyes....but it could just be the jaw positioning that's tricking my eye into thinking so.But yeah, besides that, I love the furry texture and the grass (omg the grass....).You are getting better with each pic and it's very interesting to see that^^....hope to see more from ya.
when i first saw this i thougt is was my dog. he looks just like this only with all black fur and a shorter snout..from the eyes up-exactly like him. His breed is a Schipperke, smaller than a wolf. You did a great job!
Ugh! Two things gave me nightmares as a kid, wolves and the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz. This 'bad' wolf is so well done I think I'm gonna have nightmares again.
How funny! The Wizard of Oz was (and still is) one of my favorite movies, and I was terrified of the monkeys. The witch didn't scare me at all, just the monkeys and the trees. (That and the wizard pissed me off because he was just a big fat fraud) I did a painting for one of my nieces with the Wizard of Oz characters and I've been thinking about doing one similar to it here. (But noooo monkeys :D)
(Oh, and don't have nightmares or be afraid of wolves. They are exquisite creatures... I know a man that owns one, and when I kill hogs on my deer lease I take them for his wolf) He is a big, sweet puppy :D
