DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 18, 2004)
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices -- to be found in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own -- for the children and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
Rod Serling (1924 - 1975)

I believe he was one of the most creative geniuses of our time, and changed the way we view the world. This one is for the others who were knob-clicking, rabbit-ear adjusting kids who loved him like I did.

(I couldn't find any one reference picture that I was happy with, so I just sort of combined stuff I found)

purple_Llama (edited Jun 21, 2004)
This looks very cool.I love the guys pose & how it looks like hes in mid-sentence.
emmamommalag (Jun 22, 2004)
Nice job. It looks quite a bit like him. The hairline, eyes and jaw line seem to be off but overall it's very nice. Good job on the shading, etc. I loved that show. There were a few others that were similar to it but it was the best.
Paranoidkittie (Jun 22, 2004)

You've really out done yourself this time Cindy...this is FANTASTIC! *is floored* You're seriously showing great improvements in your work as far as realistic faces go! Well done! :D
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 22, 2004)
Thank you, ED. I was totally afraid of faces until you encouraged me to keep trying. :D
misterjimsan (Jun 22, 2004)

Yep Twilight Zone was/is great. I still watch the reruns of the old episodes. They had some excellent storylines for sure. Great picture DB.
thug (Jun 28, 2004)
great tribute to ,like you said, a genious. I even liked his spin off show, Night Gallery, but what a classic show Twilight Zone was. I'm glad it made the showcase. I like that the only color in the picture is in the cigarette butt, nice touch.
Mipunai (Aug 18, 2004)
The Outer Limits is a better show X3 This is cool though, awsome drawing X3
manda23 (Dec 16, 2004)

Wraith (Jun 24, 2007)
WOW! Iloved the Twilight Zone! Even tho thier shows were in black in white, and I was born in color, this show had shows that would just creep me out. even as a kid. I sometimes ponder if I am in a Twilight Zone as I write this. Nice drawing.. One day I hope to draw even a fraction as good as this. :D
QTgillie (Mar 16, 2008)
How very cool is this. I loved that show also. I see that you don't come here much but if you ever do......bravo.....I love this draw and most of yours for that matter.

--to which I might add, that many ideas have died on the vine, cause, basically,"with wisdom alone you don;'t go to market."this guy needed a tv. network, and cash,or else the twilight zone would just be an idea in a notebook,in the trash. Even microsoft needed some money to get started. Its one of the main reason we "babyboomers"were so creative,in the 60's,the economy was good, there were jobs,ect.ect. We had the fuel. Gotta have the fuel. It'll be interesting to see what happens to creativity in this era,in the US,and the future;already reality shows on t.v. stink to the Heavens, ugh.TV has never been so bad.Reality shows cost less to make,no writers to pay.But tv stinks so bad,I rarely watch it. During the 60's,we had so much good tv, it was dizzying. sigh.Twilight Zone looks so good now.
