Like the hand and the face there.I'm assuming this is one of those gentle beasts unless he's lookin' to eat that thing. It looks real nice overall, but it could use some smoothing out on the shading since it's 75:25 right now(75 smooth, 25 coarse).
The roughness of certain parts of the image give it that nice juna-se-qua... it gives it a /really/ effective dynamic.. :3 Good job with that... it's a really enjoyable image x3
This is too cool! It reminds me of part King kong and a lizard man. Love the way you did the wings and the little legs and...oh hell...I like all of it...it's wonderful.
this is wonderful.. the look in his eyes is perfect "..I'm a badass, eat you alive monster, but I think this little fragile thing is pretty so I'm not gonna smash it...look" great pic!
This is the sweetest monster I've ever seen. I think I love you, Thug! (lol) I wouldn't change a thing about this. Mommy, can I keep him?! (Glad you're still here, btw, and your drawings belong on this board, 2 :)Oh, and that is a perfect sulphur butterfly.
matches the tangerine theme perfect. oh and i dunno if it is beams of light but in any case i like those diagonal and vertical streaks u got goin on there..and its a sweet idea tew. : )
I like this picture, and the general idea is very reminiscent of Frankenstein (the book- not just the overly-stereotyped monster). I love the komodo-dragon-look he has about his face.
I'm not sure, but I think he probably did less detail on the body because the focus should be on the face, hand, and butterfly. I like it this way. It brings your attention directly to the point of focus.
I didn't say there was anytihng wrong with less detail/focus on the body, I'm just saying it doesn't have the same feeling as the head and hands. you can still keep something out of focus while fitting with the style/level of finish of the rest of the piece. Take his left arm for example.
