What if...
laurael
(Feb 21, 2006)
...mermaids were real? Would they wear seashells? I think not.
Mal (Feb 26, 2006)
Very nice pic
terracotta (Feb 26, 2006)
Whaaaaat? Huh? Did you bribe someone to get a gradient fill tool? Wow. Love the colours, the shading, the composition and me? I love any kind of a fish story. Great stuff.
davincipoppalag (Feb 26, 2006)
Laurael is the smoothest blender on here Greta..she's amazing at it as you can see.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 26, 2006)
I think you are absolutely, positively right. Were I a mermaid you wouldn't catch me at a crab fight wearing clam shells on my chest. This is the R rated version of Ariel, I love it... hah. |

Gemmy619 (Feb 27, 2006)
Really pretty, i love the bright colours :)
Satern (Mar 7, 2006)
Lovely little kingfishers, nicely picking up the wing colour in the eyes :) and a nice looking tree, the fluggy green looks a bit strange though :D.
Miss_DJ (Apr 21, 2006)
gorgeous!
hankjmatts (edited May 27, 2010)
You always have nice texture work going on. If you combine smooooth and nice texture, you've got a Lauryn piece in front of you :).club penguin cheats |

Larry takes a shot at drawing....
TaCO (Feb 26, 2006)
He's making a new friend????
JoeNobody (Feb 26, 2006)
Gigandas, the inspiration for Larry came from a comment made HERE . From then on most of the episodes came from comments or just where I felt like taking him.Of course he's just doing a classic figure study. There's no way he can get in trouble for that.......is there?
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 26, 2006)
Larry's sketch is quite tasteful, although I'm sure his wife will try to deflate him again, anyway. I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing what Larry will do next.
kejoco (Mar 1, 2006)
I think Gigandas is referring to a little sketch on seasame street. The guy was part of a glass and had a theme song. ... I just found this teeny little super guy |

there's been a shortage of spooky clowns lately
woah_pockster (Feb 19, 2006)
this is amazing, creepy, and very real. I swear that if I swipe my finger across his face I'd get face paint on it.
strangeoid (Feb 20, 2006)
The hair and skin textures in this... Gaw-lee. And the eyes are so spectacularly watery.I went to Sizzlers the other day... and there was a frikkin' clown convention there. I was so scared. My sister was this >..< close to running away screaming.
col.jalloppe (Jun 8, 2006)

Opium (Feb 13, 2006)
thank you everyone :) ha! do a pic of Quant! Let's start a 60's revolution ;)
terracotta (Feb 14, 2006)
Far out! I'll see if I can dig up something...this is great, Opium. I remember when we all used to draw those little eyelashes underneath our eyes to try to look like her. She's still making movies and is no longer a stick. :)
Opium (edited Feb 16, 2006)
Haha we're not supposed to do that anymore? whoops! You're right, twiggy is no longer a stick, but still, she's gorgeous. I watched an interview that she did on tv, and she said that she was naturally that skinny *cough* bullshit hehe but she did say reporters would bust into her dressing rooms trying to get photographic evidence she was born a boy!ok, question, is everyone else seeing the black around her collar and coat like I am? I've only seen it on this one computer on campus so far...I swear, that's annoying.
Aswell (Feb 17, 2006)
Aww, this is excellent! I love her hair... |

Have always loved sunflowers, they make me think of summer..original composition.
davincipoppalag (Feb 13, 2006)
I'm with you suzie,..summer it is! Very pretty sunflower. It's nice to see some summery colors with all that bleak snow outside..I wanted to finish it up as if it was in crayon. Also still trying to get the hang of shading techniques.
Axil62 (Feb 14, 2006)
no
terracotta (Feb 14, 2006)
Lovely detailing and a nice sense of depth with the shading. I surely do know what you mean about needing to be reminded about how summer feels. This winter has been a looooooong one. Thanks for this little bit of sunny-ness. |
