Tha classical murder scene of Julius Caesar in William Shakespeare's drama. Oh yeah, Caesar he was killed in real life to, but whatever. Anyway, I'm back from Cancun. Yay! Funny Fact: I wanted the theme of my contest entry to be a literature character, my options were the masked dead from Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The mask of the red dead", Jean Baptise Grenouille from Patrick Suskind's "The Perfume" and Julius Caesar from Shakespeare's "Caesar". Edit! - So, I dreamed with this drawing las night, it was like and animated version of this moments. Then, I saw my aunt entering the kitchen with a deer head on her arms, she said: "I brought dinner!". |

I really like this, but I think a little more variation in the tone of his skin and pants would make this great.It looks too flat for the subject...some highlights would make it pop. I think his right arm and left leg coming out look great though

digs this. :}Kejeco suggested going back and putting in some highlights to make him stand out more, and he was right. I did a half assed job on this and just felt I could do better. Now, I really really like this. I'm glad I went back and worked on it more. Thanks Kejo.

Your work is always immediately recognizable and well-done! (envy.) Your most recent images seem just a bit more...well...happy? Could it be a reflection of something changed for the positive in real life? Not a bad thing at all, just an observation. Very nice. |

Contest Week 24: Distorted Anatomy (2 weeks long) Your goal this week is to draw a distorted human figure. It can be a drawing of a full body, half of a body, a portrait, a hand, a foot, as long as it's human and you've distorted it somehow (please, no aliens, cyborgs, anthropomorphics, etc.). You may only draw 1-2 figures/people in your piece. This drawing can come from your imagination or you can use a photo reference to draw from (just don't forget to distort the anatomy some how). ...
