Why thank you DK, frankly his face is a little off (his nose was driving me bonkers) but I didn't want to spend an uber amount of time on it.
He's mah boy, yes.
And man does he eat it. A gastrinomical feast of sugery goodness. :D
Tankie my friends.

Aw theyre adorable, I really wish I had pants like those.
Punky (Jul 9, 2007)
Wow those little fox things are cute. :O
Sweetcell (Jul 10, 2007)
First thing in my head when I saw the broom was Disny's Fantasia and the scene with Mickey and the Wizard. But I don't think Fox would let him off so easy. :) (what's this character's name Aaron?)
"Tis fwuffy." Adorable.
Don't worry, bg's are hard for everyone. Just do simple ones and slowly work your way to more complex pieces. Best way (well one of them) just sketch you rooms, set some things up and do a still life. You'll learn a lot.
psychofox0 (Jul 10, 2007)
XD. hmm, a name? Aaron's generic furry #261.... lol, nah, he's just another vision of the psyfox. I haven't really got him down yet. XD.
And as for those mini-psy's they all have names, the one with out a tail is named Charlie, and the one to the right is named Tsuey. ^ ^
there's a million of em'. XD. And yush I know they're adorable. Thankies for the comments. X3. I'll be drawing more of em'. XDDDD
okies. I'm gonna draw my room. D:.. oh noes, is so messy. ^ ^

aw another tin can-you know....I'm really not very good at this fishing thing.

Hehe, cute picture here :). I think those tin cans are just trying to spare the lives of their friend fishies, you know, sacrificing themselves instead.

By the way, while I'm here, I should probably also mention that I found that I haven't returned that book to you. I thought I did, but it was amongst the pile of stuff on my desk lol. Remind me to return it to you the next time you visit! Otherwise, it'll forever be a part of the modern art piece I got going with all the other stuff it's sitting with :P.
lori (Jul 13, 2007)
this is cute :) My one fishing attempt was scary.. my son was trying to show me what to do, and I was casting my line into the water and I hooked my son's cheek! :/ Haven't tried again since.
Sweetcell (Jul 13, 2007)
I kept meaning to comment on this but forgot. It's really a sweet picture and makes you think about how much junk is thrown into our waters. She looks so sad. If she get's enough though she can take them to the nearest recycling depot and get her money back for the amount she spent on the worms, plus. :D

Ouch Lori, hope it wasn't too bad.
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Aug 8, 2007)
:-) That is sooo cute! I can't really fish...but that is ok

I really like the perspective and the hair..but I noticed the the left eye (our right) is a little far up or the right eye is too far down >_>. Otherwise, this is awesome! :D
Childlike_Vampire (Jul 12, 2007)
Yay pretty red hair and beautiful face and boobies and swords. Really great drawing, has lots of motion, and I love the colors.
Wraith (Jul 15, 2007)
WOW! I really love the hair! This drawing would look awsome as a poster in my room! Great stuff IKS!
Sweetcell (Jul 16, 2007)
Long time commenting. I love everything about this, to the deep reds in the bg, dress and hair (my God that hair, so amazing) to the skin tones and the blade. Even the sketchy lines work. And good job on the perspective. I agree with Mocha but I think it's more her right eye needs to be raised, not her left lowered but it's really minor in comparison to the rest of the piece. Welcome and please stick around and do more.

kokumi009 (Jul 9, 2007)
Today we had our first colored watercolor activity and I had so much fun!
We did rocks and lots of other still-life paintings.
It was hard for me to get used to a water medium since I was used to a oil and pastel ones ^^
Anyway...This was supposed to be an animated version of me (with my poor hairstyle)
I try to imagince that that drawings come to life since water gives life. XD I know it sounds cheesy XP
The brush I was using was a bamboo one cos i don't have watercolor brushes from before.

finished! i know the bg is kinda dull but i didn't know what else to use :(
Anyway, I think I should work on contrasting the colors A LOT!
I think I got confused with the lighting...
Criticism is very much welcome bec. I really really need it O_o
Rukia (Jul 13, 2007)
Just as everyone else said, very creative! And I love your semi-solid style of painting :3
kokumi009 (Jul 13, 2007)
Thanks!!! That means a lot!
I'm really still a newbie at painting but I really appreciate it! ^^
How would a solid-style look like?...If you know someone, I would also like to take a look XD
Sweetcell (Jul 13, 2007)
Well I have to say your better at semi solid shading than I am. Just look around and you'll find plenty of examples of solid shading. This came out pretty, love the red jacket, the flower and the swirlies. I never would have thought green for the fairy. I think you did good kokumi.

I met you out in the garden.
You were digging plants, I told you "beg you're pardon"

Now it's smooth and exuberant, and still happy! Not "another sunny day" today, It rained a little bit, but I'm just thankful it wasn't a lot. Somebody needs to close the sky and pull the plug on the lake here... * glub, glub* :)

I love this painting.
psychofox0 (Jul 8, 2007)
this is really good. Her smile kinda scares me, but I like the expression.
fleeting_memory (Jul 9, 2007)
I love the granulated feeling of the shading. Awesome.
Morggey (Jul 9, 2007)
Ah... I was hoping to see this finished! Both your revisions already captured the emotion so well. I love how you left the shading grainy, like an old photograph. It looks great! There are a couple of spots that seem rougher than the rest around the bottom and edges of her nose. Other than that, it's a very lovely picture. Kudos. =)
