Paranoid Android

Please could you stop the noise, I'm trying to get some rest
From all the unborn chicken voices in my head
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)

When I am king, you will be first against the wall
With your opinion which is of no consequence at all
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but no android)
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but no android)

Ambition makes you look pretty ugly
Kicking and squealing gucci little piggy
You don't remember
You don't remember
Why don't you remember my name?
Off with his head, man
Off with his head, man
Why don't you remember my name?
I guess he does....

Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me

That's it, sir
You're leaving
The crackle of pigskin
The dust and the screaming
The yuppies networking
The panic, the vomit
The panic, the vomit
God loves his children, God loves his children, yeah!

Even in her absence, a woman lingers there, sucking away at your heart and sanity. Every -love- passed cripples and devours the soul.

This is my interpretation of 'The Vampire' by Edvard Munch. The original painting by Munch

This is indeed an interpretive dance, not a remake. Aside from style and the title, my biggest change was the reversed hair to background color composition. A redhead wouldn't be appropriate for my interpretation. I've always loved Munch's work and this is hardly a tribute or even an homage, it's just me visually commiserating with Munch's painting.

Wow what a trip. The Icon for this drawing looks really really detailed. Can't stare at this for too long because it's giving me sick feelings. Great drawing otherwise.
patienceisoverrated (Jul 31, 2007)
I like this lots, feels mellow and fuzzy-headed, looks goopy like an oil painting.

The price of fame, sometimes. Excellent hopless expression

I love these, this and the cat from before.
They remind me of Alice in Wonderland a little bit.
patienceisoverrated (Jul 27, 2007)
I am quite envious of his hat and his lips. If i had lips like that I would pierce them with lots of big shiny gold rings.
Sweetcell (Jul 29, 2007)
For some reason I keep seeing him in a monocle, he looks like an uppity english octopus. :D

Awesome brush stroke sense to this. You make skulls sexy.

I hope this qualifies.

Jan Saudek is one of my favourite photographers. His pictures are unapologetic, to say the least, and they hit you like a punch to the face. When I saw this contest I immediately thought of him.

If you watch the animation you'll see I had a hell of a time with the face, and I wish I could have cropped the canvas after finishing the piece. (That is obviously not going to happen.)
I'm not great with backgrounds, but I gave it a shot.
Also, I hope my lack of experience in the nude department isn't too terribly apparent.

Phew.

kokumi009 (Jul 9, 2007)
Today we had our first colored watercolor activity and I had so much fun!
We did rocks and lots of other still-life paintings.
It was hard for me to get used to a water medium since I was used to a oil and pastel ones ^^
Anyway...This was supposed to be an animated version of me (with my poor hairstyle)
I try to imagince that that drawings come to life since water gives life. XD I know it sounds cheesy XP
The brush I was using was a bamboo one cos i don't have watercolor brushes from before.

finished! i know the bg is kinda dull but i didn't know what else to use :(
Anyway, I think I should work on contrasting the colors A LOT!
I think I got confused with the lighting...
Criticism is very much welcome bec. I really really need it O_o
Rukia (Jul 13, 2007)
Just as everyone else said, very creative! And I love your semi-solid style of painting :3
kokumi009 (Jul 13, 2007)
Thanks!!! That means a lot!
I'm really still a newbie at painting but I really appreciate it! ^^
How would a solid-style look like?...If you know someone, I would also like to take a look XD
Sweetcell (Jul 13, 2007)
Well I have to say your better at semi solid shading than I am. Just look around and you'll find plenty of examples of solid shading. This came out pretty, love the red jacket, the flower and the swirlies. I never would have thought green for the fairy. I think you did good kokumi.
