You may want to use tools other than the line tool. Although it is very neat, it doesn't really take much. Try using tones of grey to color them and define shadow. Also, try using different shades of blue in the sky. Look at other pictures and try and figure out what makes them look good and try to apply it to your picture. I myself am not amazing, but you can memo me for help.

Looks like something you can do on MSPaint, try playing with some of the other tools, they can create cool effects.

I like realism. I wanted to add some wildlife, but I couldn't seem to put them on without messing up what I did so far.

I have a question: what are the different layers for?

The layers are there so you can draw something then switch to a lower layer so as to not go over it.
Example: lineart on top layer
coloring on bottom

For instance, you could draw your wildlife on a different layer and then if you don't like it, just delete that layer.

Getting Away From It All

The population of Earth is trying to get away from the pollution on land. So they build their cities in these domes, supported on pillars. Maybe I'll figure out the physics of it...but not tonight.

Yay! You love my clouds! I thought they didn't look convincing enough. I hate to say this, but I actually learned something from my drawing class. Not so much from painting...

The duck isn't incidental...in fact, I still can't see it O.o LOL

Nice picture. Try making the shadow more like the shape of the object (vase).

Although a tablet may help, you shouldn't blame your faults on a mouse.
Try using layers so your colors don't color over the lineart. Spending more time on art also allows you to make better pieces. In addition, you may add shading too add a bit of realism or depth. If you have any questions please memo me. I realize I'm not an amazing artist, but I can provide tips if you need them.

Also, try drawing with the pencil, airbrush, or pen (if you're using Oekaki Shi Painter) tools.

I'm not done but I'm just practicing..taking a break for now, I'll come back to it later...does anybody know how to like copy and paste stuff into different layers, or do you have to re-draw it?

You can move one entire layer to another or copy it by dragging it onto another.
Then select 'Shift' or 'Merge.'

Wow.. somebody is acually using layers.. XD Dragon is right. Just drag teh layer on top of the layer you want it to be on, and then click shift, or merge.
