But if you adapt to the mouse then you're fine! I know a lot of people that have tablet's but hate them and they're *NICE* tablets! I just don't like it when people announce it because I feel like they're trying to get more recognition for using a mouse... =.=

It *does* look like the girl from "Grave of the Fireflies"! Only this girl is older than the little tyke got to be...*sniff*. I like her indifferent smirkish look, though. I can (and like to; the movie's sad) imagine the girl having a look like that when looking back on all that angst..."I've made it, so there". That sort of thing.

It's ok, but the lines are very choppy/coarse.
Here's a tipto improve that if you're using a mouse, zoom in to 2x or 4x, it makes a world of difference as far as smooth lines is concerned. Hell, it helps when using a tablet, too.

I really agree... Getting a close up on the drawing helps a lot with details, shading and outlines! This is a very nice picture though, it's bright and cute!

Thanks! I never knew what remask did, really.. That helps a ton. Any more helpful tips?--you know who to come to. :P

BTW -- How do you work the remask effect?

n_n; To get to 'remask' you have to click the button BELOW the 'freehand' button, the one that looks like a pencil on the right of the screen! Hope that helps you! (BTW.. KYAAAAAH!!! DAISUKI!! **; It looks so well drawn!)

Lol.. I just had to make the title all fancy like. Destruction being the practice pictures I've tried to do with my tablet, returning as in going back to the way I use to draw (All water colors, including the line art, using a mouse... )! Its all catchy n_n;

The picture bing a soldier returning home from the dirt and blood shed of war. The Dragon.. just being there to look cool... Yeah.. I'll shut up now. n_n;;

Marcello, thats because she used the paint brush in OekakiBBS. Theres nothing wrong with using OekakiBBS, its just that the paint brush is kinda like an air brush, and when you use it it leaves light grey spots. Im not good at explaining, but I hope that clears it up XD;;

well, the way i did it was i drew first with the paint brush in black, only i'm sure you know it's not pure black 'caus it fades to greyish at the edges. so then i masked the "black" colour with those squares at the bottom, and when you go over top the masked lines with another colour, that's just what happens (the white edges). i don't really understand it either, but there it is....

yes, I'm in college, woo! it rocks, I get to do art and computer animation for 40% of my classes :)
fortunately I never had to get up at 6am for school...ever.
