The legs reminds me of les triplettes de belleville... The upper arms seem a bit off, I realize it's characturized, but even relatively speaking that's a bit too thin considering the rest of teh muscles. And clearly the waist is a bit small, that's a little too much perspective... but in any case, very well done, and better than anything I could do, so yea, damn you.
fleeting_memory (Nov 3, 2005)
I like this. The whole drawing, but especially the face, really reminds me of the art in that show "Avatar, the last Airbender" I love the toes!
terracotta (Dec 28, 2005)
Well, yeah, the anatomy has some problems...if you straightened him out he'd be too long between his rib cage and his pelvic structure. And yes, the arms are skinny in comparison to the rest of his body type...but because of the fluid lines and the energy of your drawing style, it works very well. I don't find myself looking at the anatomy because I'm too busy enjoying the overall effect. Why can't you take a life drawing class, if that's not being too nosy?

I've been into this sort of thing lately. Anybody want to add color? I'd be interested too, if multiple people want to do it, to have everyone color on a different layer, so I can see how different people see this. (Not sure how it'd work, but it'd be sort of like the Coloring Book at oekakicentral.com).

This looks good so far--I would never have thought of those colors, but they work really well. I can't wait to see it finished!
BRANDI (Jan 15, 2006)
I would love to try coloring on this.

beautifully done...a request for your next fantasy portrait..give the eyes more emotion, like she really is an evil princess about to suck my eyeballs out. not just posing for a glamour shot..yano?

i admire your style, its very inspirational to me. thanks.

cold stare, great eyes + depth = nice work
woah_pockster (Nov 23, 2005)
I'd have to say the same thing the others said. "the eyes really pull you in" "beautiful" "cold stare, great eyes + depth = nice work" <3
Moosh (Nov 23, 2005)
That's awesome. Fantastic job with the eyes.
Gigge (Nov 26, 2005)
It looks pretty nice as it is, Kejoco. The stare is captivating.

Its good, dont listen to mydarkarkk!!!
Elleth (Oct 24, 2005)
kejoco thanks for the support ;) -I m not very familiar with all this oekaki stuff so your explanations where also very usefull for me- it seems that it isnt possible to fake an online drawn oekaki -which is a good thing- Im so tired of all that photo overpaints and stuff
Its no problem doing such a quick doodle in that time- I would guess some people would be much faster than 17 mins =) References are a good thing- especially for practicing basics like anatomy etc- but personally I usually tell that in the describtion along with a link =) so no this doodle was just something that evolved from doing it

Any hey maybe he ment that in a friendly sarcastic way =) in either way I found it funny ;)
Gigandas (Oct 25, 2005)
kejoco-You really shouldn't assume that he/she was in fact insulting Elleth. It's like Elleth said, it could have been a sarcastic way to say that it's really well done.

As for the picture, that's pretty impressive for the amount of time spent on it. I saw some of your other works too. It'll be nice having you around on the boards :).
kejoco (Oct 27, 2005)
Nothing about the post indicates sarcasm
And seeing how it is still the only comment or anything done by this user i still say it was done by a jealous person who already has another user name here.

I'm also free to assume anything that I want

Poll! New Features?
marcello (edited May 17, 2002)
This is just a simple poll, as I'm curious what people would most like to see next on the site: 1) Search feature - search users, entries, and comments 2) Member-to-Member messaging - the ability to send private messages to other members on 2draw 3) asciiBBS - a simple ascii art drawing feature 4) New skins - currently there are only 2, would you like to see more? 5) e-cards - create your own e-cards to send to you...

~not finished~
this is a picture im painting in art class. we are studying surrealism, and i decided i should post my idea here...i guess. anyway, i havnt added in all the things in the picture such as the hand and the unicycle...hence the title. by the way, the blue things that are semi finished are ghosts. i think they look a bit like those ghosts in the lenore comics by roman dirge...
anyway, feel free to comment on this while i finish it up :-)

A simple picture of a geisha.
The white makeup of the geisha covers their face and it goes down and around their neck. The kimono is set loosly around the collar to show a bit of fleshy skin. This is done to make a mand being entertained think about what lies under the white makeup and under the kimono. ^_^
I love geisha and most everything about them. x] <3 Tell me what you think.

i like the golw she has and ya i agree with what these 2 are saying it could use a little more detail good pic
Gigge (Oct 12, 2005)
It is a little blurry, but the colors and composition are very nice.
lycene (Oct 12, 2005)
I own a couple of kimonos; I find Japanese culture fascinating. I really like this picture, as is said concerning the composition and all. I don't really mind the lack of detail, it reflects the simplicity of ink paintings. I think, though, that it would be really effective if you maybe sharpened the lines defining the change between her back and the kimono, to really draw the eyes in.
woah_pockster (Oct 13, 2005)
Thank you everyone so much for the comments <3 I'm glad you noticed the kimono, I hated it as well but I left it as it was, I didn't want to make it look overdone but it could use a bit more work. And lycenee, thanks for your comment I'll think about that next time. ^^ <3
