Yes, you are very good at the porcelain skin, loverly. Only thing I see is that maybe her left eye could use a little more shadow at the outer corner... I know there is more light hitting her face there, but still seems like that to me. Purdy job, I like it.
laurael (Feb 24, 2004)
This is very nice Icats. Love the eyes, the lashes and the brows...wonderful.
fleeting_memory (Mar 2, 2004)
very pretty-she reminds me of Arowen or however you spell that-lips are wonderfully done though I can't say I understand the meaning of coleslaw...
Angel_Artist (Jan 3, 2008)
this would be a great piece...if it wasn't for the smiley face covering it up... -.-

Dixie's right though.Your turtles ARE cool^^.lol, dba...a girlfriend XD?Like April or something?Or more like another turtle added to the gang being a pink turtle or something? And her weapon can be a bow, kinda like your weapon of choice :).
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 22, 2004)
Yes, what a great idea! A pink turtle girlfriend with a purple bow! (one of my tournament bows is neon purple) Okay, Laurael, cough it up! Pink turtle time!
davincipoppalag (Feb 22, 2004)
This is cute.. but.. since those fellas are daring.. the girlfriend should be a snapper!..A pink snapper ..and her weapon is her beak!
laurael (edited Mar 24, 2004)
A 'pink' turtle...a purple bow...and a 'snapper'? Two out of three wouldn't be bad...lol. Okay...but I ain't promising nothing....(it's the pressure thing...hehe...)

I really like the irises there^^.Umm, I was just wondering if you could put just a little bit of shading near the nose since it looks a little flat at the moment><(sorry...).It doesn't have to be dark, but just so there's some depth to the face^^.Hope you don't mind my critiquing....><*runs off and ducks for cover*
davincipoppalag (Feb 22, 2004)
I think you should make the face pink and give it a bow...oh wait.. that was the other picture.. lol ya..needs a bit more depth..but I like it too..
dixielandcutie (Feb 23, 2004)
lol, g. of course i always want critique. how would i learn if everyone just said: i like it, good job? hehe. ill get on that. ;p

If this doesn't kill the theme board, nothing will. I have this pic scanned to my files, but don't know how to make a link to here... There is a black and white version of this picture @ www.dba.schauk.com . Have to scroll through the first two pics- it's the third.

Oh...don't say that! For an attempt at portraitry...(especially if you're not used to such work) this is really good! You got the proportions of your face down right, it just looks so soft and pastel like. I like it DBA and with a little more practice (that is if you're up to it) You can get really good at faces! Greak job!!! XD
sal (Feb 27, 2004)
wired lookin scenery on those other pics.... is that deer thing dead?
Cobra (Feb 27, 2004)
Wow! DBA what a beautifully talented artist you are, your work is always a joy
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 28, 2004)
No, sal, I asked the deer really nicely to lie down and be still for the picture. Yeah, they usually get dead when I put an arrow through their heart. Thanks for the nice comments, ya'll.

Gigandas (Feb 19, 2004)

I didn't insult you^^;.And if that's how you took it, I'm sorry for the vagueness.Sometimes I say things that seem offensive, but isn't....anyways,I didn't think about the fact that the monitor could just overall be dark.So how do you make it brighter overall? But I don't wanna make it too bright or it'll be ruined for people who have a brighter screen like me.
Harmanye (Feb 19, 2004)
Maybe you could duplicate the layer and set it on lighten? (is that an option, do I mean dodge?)
Or throw a layer of white over it, lower the transparency, and Light., (Or, again, dodge).

Dunno though. And it's very dark for me, too, but I have a piece of freebie-crap moniter.
Same problem I always had with TFC, actually.
Oh, well what I can see looks good ^_^.
Gigandas (edited Feb 19, 2004)
Hmm....I didn't know the transparency was permanent when you submit the drawing....I think I'll try that....thanks Harmanye^^.
Edit:Okay....I checked it out and there's that problem again that I had with Neo...we might have to hack the animation again. This time I don't know why, but I didn't touch anything and it still got jacked up.Hmm...I don't know, if you think it's worth fixing Marcello, you can help me out here, and if you choose to, thanks.
Enishi (Feb 24, 2004)
Reminds me of the Jin-Roh soldiers... the red glowing from when they are in the sewers and you could barely see the rest of their armor and stuff... great job :D

thanks...yeah I should have spent more time on the water and the shadow.. I kind of threw them in fast to finish up..I was afraid I was going way over the size limit... I still don't know how that works...
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 16, 2004)
This is very pretty. There's alot of depth to it with the way you did the sky, and I love lighthouses but we don't have any around here. :)
davincipoppalag (Feb 17, 2004)
this one came out crappy compared to the one I did on an oekakibbs board I am used to.. I posted a link to it in the post forum..I need alot more practice with these tools to get the same control..but I will keep at it.. thanks
laurael (Feb 18, 2004)
Haven't tried buildings myself...nice job on the overall pic. Love the sky!

concannon (edited Feb 6, 2004)
Ahaha, it's great when we get people that aren't even mods telling n00bs to read the rules. *amused*

Nice pic, by the way. I like the water.
Alicia (Feb 6, 2004)

I was just trying it out.. the oekaki here is quite a lot different from the one I usually use...is there some kind of manual somewhere as to how to use the tools properly?
