haha, thanks Clox. I'll see about Xod.

I was thinking maybe porn sites have good models but I got kinda scared about having my family come in and thinking I was some kind of weirdo. Im trying to find a simple model without any sexual gestures. So natually, porn is out of the question. Arrrgh, I have a feeling this is gonna take me ages.
Kloxboy (May 30, 2004)
This might help, or maybe not

I used these books to better my antomy skills as well better myself as an artist:
The Human Machine by George Briggman - a good book to learn the mechanics of anatomy
Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth - great book and Hogarth is one of the best
50 Secrets of Magic Craftmanship by Salvador Dali - aside from sounding kinda insane at times, it's a great book
Gray's Anatomy - this book is best for learning terms
Anatomy for the Artist by Jeno Barcsay - this has great drawings in it and another good term book
There are a few others I own but those I listed helped me most.
Of course, don't take my word for it. <some of you are old enough to get that joke, I hope, that line is right up there with "...and knowing is half the battle"
Kasha (May 30, 2004)
ohh yay! thanks Clox.
Fin_beast (edited Aug 20, 2004)
Kasha... you are a fucking lamer... :P This rox0rz.
The really soft lines and then the really dark ones really make it work.
Is there a reference or is that from your head? It better not be from your head. :B
I wish I had the style you have. *sigh* *stalks kasha*

Urei-sama (Jun 28, 2004)
very nice, its not too blurred either. good job!
kejoco (edited Jun 28, 2004)
thanks guys, and the eyes are deliberately different sizes
i tried to keep it kind of smokey looking as well
Gigge (Jun 29, 2004)
How pretty. I like how the eyebrows are more intense than the eyes. Gives her sort of 'dreamy' look.

I have always had a problem with making things too blurry but i like them that way i guess because everything turns out that way..I think lauren graham is beautiful so i wanted to give her a go

I wondered if it was OUR dea!! (((dea)) xoxo
Aubrey (Jun 16, 2004)
Hey there Dea! Hope you can get ahold of a mod so you can fix it. I think the reason why you can't is cause you saved it as "finished" rather than unfinished. If you think you might change something in the pic then it's always best to save it as that just in case. You can go back to it as many times as you like then :-D
deannak24 (edited Jun 19, 2004)
yeap its dealag (((hugs)) all of yuh.....yeh i need to do that aubs i just figured you had a space limit here and some places delete a pic if you dont finish it in the same day...so i been tryin to get as much done as my eyes and fingers will let me and i finish em up in psp later lol
Anna (Jun 26, 2004)
:D I like the eyes and lips in this. I also like the softness in her skintones

Purdy picture Kasha, I like the sketchy-watercolor look you have to your drawings.

This style is very nice. Simple, yet expressive. It reminds me a bit of Aubrey Beardsley.

i agree with that...actually i was releasing drawing this..i've got 'life' frustrations, well, more than usual and this was minor therapy.
thanks : )
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 22, 2004)
Yep, life can be pretty bumpy. I betcha if you can find something to get absorbed in here, your 'life' frustrations will lift, as well. :) I usually scribble and stuff when I'm upset and don't post... nothing constructive comes out of it when I feel like that. lol Hope things look upnupnupnup soon!
davincipoppalag (Jun 22, 2004)
Beautiful draw! This has the appearance of having been done with oil pastels. I find when life gets frustrating, it helps to pull the wings off flies, and to bully someone helpless.. (jk jk)
emmamommalag (Jun 22, 2004)
I love the hair and the eyes. Nice style here. Hope things are lighter for you soon.

i think he looks more like that guy from ssx 3 .. i dont remeber his , but any ways nice job
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 19, 2004)
Cool draw, love the hair. Looks like a guy that works at the tatoo parlor in Waco, except he has metal "fang" piercings in his lips. :)
kejoco (Jun 20, 2004)
This looks just like the lead singer of Static-X except this guy doesn't have a long braid in his beard.
Check out their website http://www.static-x.com/flash_site.php I bet you'll agree
great drawing
mazi (Jun 20, 2004)

I like the detail, I think it looks life a stem off of a flower and was dipped in blue paint
CRAZYCHICA (edited Jun 17, 2004)
Thanx, I guess it is just a piece of artwork, I tried to make it into a flower, but a changed my mind,
I am not exactly sure how to anyway!
Glad you like it!
bumpinthenight (Jun 17, 2004)
looks like a celery stalk... eheehehe... well, this looks ok... seems like youre fooling around with opacity, which is a good thing... :) but keep on trying....

...I have no idea. Really, I have no clue.

And I don't know how her leggings got to be those colors. In all likelyhood (that is a word, yes?), they won't stay that way. Officer.

*shuffles off to bed*

[edit]: Beh, can't decide how I want to color her. o___< And so, I shall try to recruit someone to color it for me. Any takers? Feel free to erase the rainbow stockings and anything else I have.

the background throws me off a bit though. i think the angle of the curtain is a bit too sharp

great drawing...i hated this song though, i turned it over whenever it was on
Kloxboy (Jun 16, 2004)
Nice work. That video is great, I first saw it when I was 16. That song rox too and I just fucking heard it on my car about 40 minutes ago. I've got almost all of AIR's albums, including the great Moon Safari, they inspire my life style, artsy and fucked up. Kelly Watch the Stars is a great song too, it's trippy-cosmic, retro-electronica.....something like that.
davincipoppalag (Jun 17, 2004)
I can't say I have ever seen the video, but I like your picture, and it's good to see a new Kasha on the boards..I was wondering where you were..
