Afro Sukeban Rage
ponpoko
(Sep 7, 2003)
This is Afro Sukeban. She is mad because she can't get any dates with cute boys. She will now break their kneecaps.Actually, I just wanted to try out Lascaux and get myself used to it... but I think I'm a ShiPainter guy through and through. I just love the watercolor tool too much.
marcello (Sep 8, 2003)
ponpoko: lascaux has the 'water color' tool as well, it's called "Blend." Watercolor isn't really an accurate description for what it's doing.
ponpoko (Sep 8, 2003)
Actually, I did use the blend tool, but it was somehow... not as subtle as the Shi-Painter watercolor tool. Or maybe I just used the wrong kind of settings. But it was definitely a bit different from what I'm used to. Otherwise, it's a great applet.
marcello (Sep 8, 2003)
To get it like shi-painter, use the blend tool with the smooth airbrush brush type (bottom left one), and turn the flow down to 25% or so. Tweak the flow and opacity until you get it how you like it.

O_o that is so wierd I could die of laughter lol lol |

A remix of Leef, http://cellosoft.com/2draw/view/9118/Better? I think so. Perfect? Not nearly... Critique me, please, test the limits of my tolerance for you... I mean, C-and\or-C Welcome, of course! Still getting used to Lascaux; trying to pull from Shi-painter, because while it is easy to use and has quite nummy features, I also find it rather limiting, and, dare I say it, lacking. |

Yes. We need the background. We do. Seriously. Here is the pic. We need someone to save that sorry excuse of a background for us. Porcelain's preferred people would've been Alienated, or tappie_chan, but as neither really are around anymore, she asked me to make a post. And so I did. Please respond to this post via comments, not memos. [edit]: Alright. There have been 43 people to view this post, and no one's responded. I want th...

What, Am I not supposed to say what im saying? You can't hold KO down.
furyofroy (edited Sep 6, 2003)
They all seem to be slanting slightly to the left. ^_^ But you're right, we can't.
amuy (Sep 6, 2003)
Oh i like it! the shading is neatos and I love the eyes! Its all gravy!! ;)
Merulotte (Sep 6, 2003)
Of course we can't hold you down. This is all just over the internet, there is nothing physical about it. Again, the shading doesn't seem to go along the contours, and the light source looks like a couple of straight beams going across them... Perhaps you could make a lightsource next time, and make the contours of the face, shadows, and folds of the clothing. It'd really spruce it up. |

amuy (Sep 5, 2003)
Oouuhhh, your spelling! argh! you say your 15..you should know better by now! I'm 15 and i know how to spell basically! Unless you've been deprived of spelling..I don't know..can they do that in puerto rico?
bladefist (Sep 5, 2003)
Spelling is easily fixed by reading, and drawing is fixed by practice. And learning from others, indeed... you seemed to learn well. I used to read a book a week and now I actually think spelling and grammar is FUN... eyaah, that's scary. |

Good morning.I hate, repeat, HATE how that window looks...any tips on sunlight streaming into a room through a window? For clarification on the hips-- yeah, they do look sorta squashed now that I look at it...she was supposed to have her right leg in front of the left, like she's walking, but they might still be a little small...I'll fix that if it'll let me edit.
furyofroy (Sep 5, 2003)
Half-tones are always good, but the half-tones in Shi-painter kinda suck. Nice pic, but her hips could be a big wider. They look sorta....crushed now. XB
Marienkind (Sep 5, 2003)
shi painter sacrificed halftones for the sake of textures. for light... um... low opacity watercolor white/pale yellow?
furyofroy (Sep 5, 2003)
speaking of textures, how do you switch from texture to texture? I don't see a switchy button anywhere.
Hotaru-chan (Sep 5, 2003)
eeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr, when I wake up my 'be head' problem is the first thing I take care of after brushing my teeth and washing my face, but it's really hard to fix >.>'.............=3 |

Hello, Does anyone else have trouble staying logged in? I use a Mac (OS X) and IE 5.2.2 and after EVERY link I click I'm prompted for a login. I've even tried the remember me box and it had no effect. In fact, I had to switch to the Safari browser to simply stay logged in long enough to post here... The last thing I want is to be difficult, I'm simply wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there's a fix. Thanks.
