ok see he stopped a while ago, right before a rain storm, to admire the pretty little flower. He was never the brightest guy and sat for quite a while admiring the flower as it grew and finally wilted...by then many rains had come and gone and he had slowly rusted. Now he is stuck admiring the grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren of the original flower as they grow from tiny seeds, live their lives then wilt away. It just so happened that this season one of the beautiful blossoms grew in the exact same place as the original giving him a particularlly good view of a little late bloomer.

There is so much more to this picture than what might be considered the blood. It definitely keeps you wondering about what the hell is going on here. Lots of possibilities. I love the shadows and and variations in lighting. The chair on the right appears to be screwed up a little bit on the perspective though...or am I just not looking at that right?

I am going to guess that this picture is inspired by Jimi Hendrix's song. Knowing that makes the picture say more to me. It's like literature; people can analyze all day long and come up with new meanings. It doesn't mean any of them were the artists' intention, but to me, that song and this picture go together to make a whole mood. In fact I played the song while I looked at this, and I see the ambiant wind in this picture.Yes, it's crying "Mary."

One of my all-time favourite songs, Axil - and you did it justice. The final version really captures the feelings of "the shadows wash the room", in a way that the earlier versions didn't, leaving the image more disconnected from the song. This brings them back into a connected whole, as a picture and its description should be, IMHO. :) The only flaw is not in the image or its execution, but in the connection between it and the song - because she doesn't look "couched in indifference", but instead intently focused. No insult intended, though -- the piece is gorgeous, regardless.
