I went about this very messily, but I enjoyed it anyway... this would be fanart, I guess, of a pic in my calendar... you may see more art (better art) like this @ www. brushdance.com

It's very beautiful and also interesting to look at....I used comic books as my inspiration for anatomy all the time when I first started oekaki..but now I don't need them...and i think eventually you will be able to come up with more original pieces....you are a great artist and we all have faith in you...:)

lori, we all go through that, when we were young our imaginations could keep us drawing all day long, then we age and life sucks the imagination and magic right out of our minds and hearts, so don't feel bad, we all have that issue, I have things floating up in my head but can't seem to lasso them and put them down on paper, the way my mind's eye sees them, that is probably why I get stuck using photo ref. so much, it is easier than frustrating my self to death trying to pick my brain and make my hands produce what my mind sees....oh such is the life of a cynic...lol

well said --- and thanks backmagicwoman :)

This is very nice Lori! Reminds me of some sort of Alex Grey art. http://www.alexgrey.com/ The artist who did art for the well known Band called "Tool".

Lost my Lascaux drawing. How do I fix it?
SooRa (May 6, 2008)
I was drawing in lascaux and the Drawing timed out on me or something weird. *(always does this)* So I know if I go back to draw and go to the category I was drawing in and open up a new Lascaux applet with same dimensions it'll bring up the file again but this time I accidently put different dimensions and it only brought up a blank screen. I have a print screen of it if that helps. *would like to finish it* @__@ How do I get back that drawing?

Oh boy, I really hope this doesn't actually look like you. In that case I'd be too intimidated to comment. But, a challenge a day keeps boredom away. So, a blank canvas can be interesting, if what ís drawn is so good that it balances it out/compliments it. The head is a bit big in proportion to the body and whatever you do, avoid the fill tool. It leaves nasty white bits. It is better to make use of the layers. That allows you make a clean drawing.
UnWanted (May 5, 2008)
.. not really interested.
Sweetcell (May 5, 2008)
Julius, please start on begginers to learn the tools before making your way up to intermediate. And joy's right, instead of the fill tool use layers to set your colors, it's easier and cleaner.

Such a beautiful boy... the more you work on this, the better it gets. The love you have for this guy is evident in your work.
Kulu (May 6, 2008)
thank you...the balance between tone and texture was tricky...i still look at ver 5 and wonder if i should have left it there
Aakyra (May 6, 2008)
I agree, fur is tricky... as well as the eyes and noses of animals.. you did a great job with all. I went back and looked at version 5 and I somewhat agree a softer background color, something to bring out the warm brown tones might work. I think you're right on target!

Hello, I drew this fan art of Ragnarok online 2's first English Beta server!

You can also play for free on this beta at http://euphro2.com and maybe I can run into you on the game! ♥

They just finally came out with a Head Gear NPC (abbreviation as HG) and Lilac is going to be my HG character which I will only lvl up to 30 as the higher lvl you are... the more zeny the NPC requires of you even though the HG you get will still be random regardless of level.

I still can't decide... swordsman or enc... It will probably be enc since it's so easy to lvl for me.

P.S. I'm really sorry for all the entries x__x

The eyebrow seems too low.
Other than that, it's great.

Raised eyebrow a bit... I think I may have to fix the shape of it, though. xD
Aakyra (May 5, 2008)
The iris is beautiful and the depth you acheived in the pupil is excellent. Nice work!

wow, this reminds me of the time when I went through the holocaust musuem (sp?) in Washingon DC... I balled my eyes out for an hour after I left.. it was so sad and wrong what happened to them. I agree with you though, and this picture sends a powerful message.
