That background is wack-a-doodle. Maybe all it needs is to be toned down a bit, make it more subtle, softer.
The girl is well done and I love the coloring and little highlights. Hair is ftw.

I was suprised to recognize anything from that show. Oh man, did Uresei just keep going ON and ON!

I'm curious how you'd draw Utaru in this style, since he was always called ugly and anime (especially of the 70's) doen't exactly show those imperfections.

...I really dont know where this came from lol, I was listening to 'Death Wind' from F-Zero, and this came to mind. Not finished yet, but thats cause this program is flippin wierd-gotta reopen it and finish it. BTW this was drawn completely on the computer in this program by free hand.

*edit: CRAAAAAP I decided to save my progress and now it has reached it's limit for revising o_O Ah well-I guess it can do for now... until I find a way to fix it. ¬¬

The mods really are no pain to give out more space, I've asked a numerous times for it, and always got it. This is so wonderful, it should be finished.

Really like this one a lot, especially the hair of course. Just wish her head wasn't cut off, but the leg thing doesn't bother me...seems like she should be in the middle of a circle, maybe made out of a celtic knot or somehting...well, great drawing!

Artists ramblings: I was just at a Gallery art show earlier today and was inspired by these beautiful wood block prints. Originally i intended to have another small girl cutting off this ones arms but I couldn�t quite get the look rite so i opted to draw this instead. I rely enjoy the simple background as it adds to the mood of the picture in my opinion.

I'm way too distracted to draw. >_< Could a mod please move this to the beginner board? :\ I've had such a huge artblock recently and have been trying to get out of it... apparently this poo is all I could come up with, rofl, even under the influence of Imogen Heap and some Dredg. Anyway, yeah, this is me (kinda, I don't look that asian, but I am hispanic...) - I've been feeling rather blue. It'll all work out. ^^;; Don't mind me. Anyway, could someone please move this? I don't really feel it's good enough to be on this board.

Oh. Shi Painter is having some weirdness going on with the zoom - there's just random lines everywhere when you scroll through different zoom sizes and whatnot -a lso when you drag a menu across the drawing area. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm really, really not Lascaux inclined at all. :\

Sweet, love the teal. Random lines will appear all the time, if you check out the forum you'll find a recent post about it. I prefer Lascaux over Shi, one of the reasons are those annoying lines.

Clover, considering all the spam pictures that have been popping up trust me, this belongs here.
I was in a major funk a few months ago and it took all my effort to pick up my pen, but fortunately
it went away and I found my muse again. Don't worry, thankfully these things pass.
Enjoy is right, that teal is wonderful and hard to pull off. Hope you come back to this or try again some day.

Don't worry, self portraits can be hard and I don't know what you look like (that would be seriously creepy) but you did a good job. and artblocks suck, I hope you get out of it soon.
