Anyone considering quitting? It is a good thing!
Xina54 (Mar 28, 2008)
yes, I'm struggling with the nicotine monster. Tried to quit many times - sometimes stopping for long periods. I know I can when I really try, I must not want to quit badly enough at the moment. That's a sobering thought to see in print . . .Great draw - reminds me of the old ads that got me started in the first place - looks so elegant and sophisticated.
Aakyra (Mar 28, 2008)
Hey QT! What an excellent peice of art! Very impressive!
enjoydotcom (Mar 28, 2008)
Never started smoking, so quitting isn't an option I have to consider :D. Cool smoke-plume.
elly (Mar 29, 2008)
WTG QT for posting this draw....Good for you!!! I'm sure a huge subject many can relate to! If you're just starting out smoking as a teen, yeah, it's easy to quit now but wait 10 yrs or more and it's near impossible! I'm convinced "someone" has added "something" more to cigerettes that make them more addicting.... STARZ, I think I've heard of the med's you're talking about. My Dr has told me about them as an option (I'm still thinking about it). I think they run about $3 a dose. The plus side to it is you don't have to quit cold turkey, you just gradually like smoking less and less. I feel "my time to quit" is getting close...ugh. You'd think after 3 bouts of Pneumonia and several Bronchial infections this past winter that I'd either be dead, or quitting by now!!!! It would be truly amazing if I ever do quit that's for sure! My problem is that I enjoy it SO much I don't want to quit!!! (That's the "addicting additive" speaking). When I think about quitting, I smoke more.... My fav part of your draw, QT is actually the cigerette. Not because I smoke them either....LOL. Great job on the highlighting, shadow, and reflected light along the back side. The "cherry" and smoke are well done too! **applauds, bows to QT, scurries off to smoke...** |

This parrot was inspired from a photo by JustinBlackStudios who was kind enough to let me use his wonderful photo of this beautiful bird. I will put his link later. But need to say to him thanks so very much! http://justinblackphotos.deviantart.com/art/Elegance-32547187

LOL all the ones I'm finding that I want to comment on turn out to be yours. Keep it coming. You have some really great art on here.
Cordelia_Pink (Mar 3, 2008)
I just noticed your icon pic and was curious to see what it looked like upclose. Cool! I love how vivid the colors are in this picture, it makes it so life-like. I've seen your other drawings of birds and I think this one is by far the best one. I don't think I could have done this in 20 hours, great job girl!

After seeing the ref, I have to say I like your drawing better than the photo. There is something funny going one with the eyes, yours look more natural and believable.

Cool drawing, he looks like me, big eyes as if he's also on a sugar-rush (just ate some selfmade honey-caramels)I do the same fleet :D. Hiding from everybody I'm such a big pig. Each year we get a choccy bunny from work that is 20 inches. A LOT of bunny to devour.
MissA_sketches (Mar 18, 2008)
Wonderful draw! Very cute expression!I'm a candy picker myself if they have them......eyes first, (ewwww....eyeless bunny!), then the candied flower! Yum! If not, then I'm an ears gal.....lol.
STARZSHINE (Mar 19, 2008)
OMG, lol, love this jp, you caught the candy eyes perfectly, lol, boy what childhood memories this evokes, lol, of course we always ate the ears off first! too cute, I am not even sure I have seen these hollow candy bunnies anywhere anymore, now most of the rabbits are covered in foil, what a shame though cause the easter baskets we had as children were so much more festive. again amazing work dahling! I used to love the sugar eggs that were a panorama, again, I don't think they make 'em anymore, too cost and labor intensive for this commercialism nowa days.
Xina54 (Mar 22, 2008)
ahh there you are! I heard you were over here. I'm afraid I couldn't take another bite - just stuffed a whole chocolate egg! He sure looks surprised to find himself earless . . . |

FuzzyWuzzy
(Mar 14, 2008)
Yes I used an image from the movie out this weekend after all he is a legend, hope I'm not in trouble for posting something like this, I just wanted to try him. I did him on another site, worked for 4 hours, went to post, and POOF, he was gone, system couldn't handle that much I guess. I'm up for spankings if need be, just tell me I've done wrong and I'll remove, or whatever the consequences are.
Meno (Mar 16, 2008)
Loved it here, loved it there, loved it, loved it, EVERYWHERE! (Was that "Seussian" enough?) ;D
STARZSHINE (Mar 19, 2008)
awwwhhh fuzzy, back at your characters which you do so well, very cute, I want to take my g-kids to see this, I hope it stays true to the book, sometimes hollywood ruins the simplicity of the childrens stories, beautiful work as always fuzzy! :D
Kamll (Mar 19, 2008)
The shading is smoother and more refined on this version. but... I think I may like the Sketchfu one better : /

I like giraffes, yes I do, aha, ahum...
enjoydotcom (edited Mar 15, 2008)
I think I will do that, although I have a darker giraffe here already. Kinda like the soft/muted look. Also still have some work to do on cleaning up on her, she's a bit fuzzy here and there.
STARZSHINE (Mar 19, 2008)
adorable, would love to see this in a baby's room, or even in a daycare center, the children would just love this, it is so cute!
FuzzyWuzzy (Mar 21, 2008)
