I know it is. I want to quit so badly, my breathing is getting worse. I live with two other smokers, so it's very hard. I don't even know why I do it besides it being something to do. Well done pic.
QTgillie (Mar 28, 2008)
OH lori.....not sure if I could quit if I lived with them so alluring. Good luck.
lori (Mar 28, 2008)
thanks! I need it!

bah quitting...
my philosophy is: quit if you really want to and your sure you can do it.
personally i like it, but what do i know, im jsut a crazy teenager?

very cool pic btw, im really jsut loving your skin and smoke
QTgillie (Mar 28, 2008)
mooki.....you are young....just wait ( or really don't wait) til it effects your health!

Very cool draw Laura. Fyi, I hear the new pill that is out works remakably well, everyone I know that got the prescription for it all have quit and none of them have gone back, a couple of them tried to, and put the cig out after one puff after gagging, exclaiming they don't know how they ever smoked. I hear it is a bit pricey for the script, but I'll bet it pays for itself in a month by the lack of buying the cigarettes! You should look into it, all I can say is I know of 4 people personally who quit after taking the pills and are positively joyfull!

yeah, I started when I was a crazy teen, and I'm sorry I ever did
davincipoppalag (Mar 28, 2008)

Great pic, everything in the pic is good except the cancer stick. I smoked for 40years,and up to 3 to 4 packs a day. when I got so sick I couldn't breath I still attempted to smoke and my lungs wouldn't permit it due to being so sick I quit cold turkey. That was about 12years ago. I still have the crave for them once in a while But don't dare, The only thing I do now is take a toke on some herb once in a while ha ha Just enough to keep my feet off the ground about an inch or two. Its a hard habit to quit and takes a lot of will power.Good luck to who ever tries to quit

great draw.
so glad I'm not a slave anymore to anything.
quit 19 years ago.
Didn't find out until just 5 years ago that I had just a 'bit' of emphysema (damage) to my lungs that occured due to heavy smoking of cigs and pot. So now I even take 2nd hand smoke much more seriously.
I won't die from Emphysema as long as I never smoke again.
It feels real good to be free from that addiction.

wow, dave, wiz and DJ.....yes, why does anyone start that dumb habit, is beyond me. I was never going to start, then college happened....I lectured ppl about smoking, then went to my first beer party, felt so uncomfortable ther (yes I led a pretty sheltered life until college) came back to the dorm and asked the to teach me to smoke cause I had noticed at the party that whenever anyone did not know what to do with themselves they smoked. Smoked a pack a day, or more, for thirteen straight years, and then quit three times, nine months each time and finally quit when I was pg with my twin boys. Whoa....and I still dream occasionally that I am sneaking cigs. What a horrible habit.
Xina54 (Mar 28, 2008)
yes, I'm struggling with the nicotine monster. Tried to quit many times - sometimes stopping for long periods. I know I can when I really try, I must not want to quit badly enough at the moment. That's a sobering thought to see in print . . .
Great draw - reminds me of the old ads that got me started in the first place - looks so elegant and sophisticated.

Hey QT! What an excellent peice of art! Very impressive!

Never started smoking, so quitting isn't an option I have to consider :D. Cool smoke-plume.

WTG QT for posting this draw....Good for you!!! I'm sure a huge subject many can relate to!
If you're just starting out smoking as a teen, yeah, it's easy to quit now but wait 10 yrs or more and it's near impossible! I'm convinced "someone" has added "something" more to cigerettes that make them more addicting....
STARZ, I think I've heard of the med's you're talking about. My Dr has told me about them as an option (I'm still thinking about it). I think they run about $3 a dose. The plus side to it is you don't have to quit cold turkey, you just gradually like smoking less and less. I feel "my time to quit" is getting close...ugh. You'd think after 3 bouts of Pneumonia and several Bronchial infections this past winter that I'd either be dead, or quitting by now!!!! It would be truly amazing if I ever do quit that's for sure! My problem is that I enjoy it SO much I don't want to quit!!! (That's the "addicting additive" speaking). When I think about quitting, I smoke more....
My fav part of your draw, QT is actually the cigerette. Not because I smoke them either....LOL. Great job on the highlighting, shadow, and reflected light along the back side. The "cherry" and smoke are well done too! **applauds, bows to QT, scurries off to smoke...**
