Yet another eye to add to the collection of eye images.
I bet you're overcome with joy.

(It's so big, yet so small...)

Forgive me and my un-knowledgable-ness, I'll look it up... ^_^
Oh, um, are you sure whatever it is is called a gullet?
(From dictionary.com)
Gullet The passage between the pharynx and the stomach.
Is that what you meant?
furyofroy (Dec 9, 2003)
Forgive me and my un-knowledgable-ness.
elana (Dec 11, 2003)
The eyelashes look too short and uniform, realistic eyelashes crisscross and are different lengths. When drawing eyelashes try drawing a thick line along the upper lid (where eyelashes grow out from, not the actual lid) to show that the eye sticks out and the lid casts a shadow, then making a few clumps of curved lashes along the outer edge of the eyelid. Also, the actual eyelid shouldnt be completely connected to both ends of the eye. Grrrr, I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, I find its hard to convey what I mean to others. Other than that tiny detail this is a pretty awesome pic, I love your idea also.
Harmanye (Dec 11, 2003)
Oh I understand the eyelash part, but the eyelid not connecting to the eye thing.... I dunno, I'm probably not the best person to try to explain things to, *taps head* dense, you know?...

But you see I wasn't really trying to be realistic, I'm not that smart or talented, if one can identify that it is indeed an eye, then that is what I wanted to get across.
Of course I shall keep your suggestion in mind for when I decide to stop being so sheeple-ish and branch out on something new, and I applaud you of course on your observatory skills, that is one of the many important thingsthat make up an artist.

To answer Furyofroys first question, I believe doing this one-eye picture thing is rather common and not very interesting, but I didn't think I could get away with a face and make it look... acceptable.

Dizzie (Dec 8, 2003)
Well, This is my Rp character Dizzie Krueger Spinz, she's as hyper and weird as I am, and she acts like a cat.....like I do....hm.
*shrug*
Anyway, I tried to do a perspective that I don't normally try, so that's why her legs are so short... o.-;;

If you darkened and shaded more towards the bottom of her body it might help portray the perspective better : D I like her kittle kat ears!

I blurred the bottom, so that it's kinda outta focus, so that it didn't look like she's a midget??

Oooh tis a vamp? Wicked. I think the bg looks spiffeh, it matches the blood on his person. The left side, I can see that he is turned, but his pec looks...I dunno, further away than it should be? Mebbe a bit too small/high up. lol. Lovely shiny eyes, and I want to poke his belly button. ^_^
concannon (Dec 8, 2003)
Whoo, lookit, mazi's anatomy skillz be improving. Love teh bellybutton.

However, his right shoulder seems too high...and his neck obviously tells us he is/was a football player. I also think his head may be a little small, but it may only seem that way 'cause of the neck.
marcello (Dec 8, 2003)
well if he is/was a football player, that'd explain the small head.
elana (Dec 11, 2003)
It'd be nicer with a litta bitta more nudity...heehee, wonderful picture! I like his head, Marcello. I guess the reason you think it looks small is cuz he's so beefy = D

Well, I tried to avoid textures, cos i wanted a cel style look (how arse up THAT went)
marcello (Dec 6, 2003)
you can have textures and still maintain cel shading, it's simply a matter of making the shadows and shades more interesting. also cleaning up the lineart on the ground may help. But for example, you could have tufts of grass and maybe some flowers or plants of some sort sticking up out of the ground.

you also might want to note how the shadow and lighting of the grass are in relation to eachother, and the sun. Since you have the sun rather low in the sky, it would actually be considerably redder, shadows would be very deep (and going in the opposite direciton of the sun), and the hill would be darker towards the bottom of the image, rather than towards the right/top.
Edward (edited Dec 7, 2003)
If you notice the shading on the face, body and the bodys shadows, go to the left side then when you look at the grass the shadow is on the right side and then the sun is behind you SO..the face should be complely shadowed and the hill should have a little highlight along the very top of it.i like the way the sun reflects on the water...AND...Welcome to the site! *pat*
