Im so surprised nobody managed to point out the great realism in taht hammock and as for sweetcell, you should show him whats what and ban him I mean he sexually harrassed you. Is anything just in this world anymore?

wow. let's see. thank you so much for the sweet comments! I really love palm trees,water and hammocks, so I guess I must have been in a nice mood when creating this "cliche" drawing. I suppose that many drawings could be called cliche, gosh, think of how many portraits that have already been drawn...gee, no sense in anyone drawing anymore, huh...? lol...anyway. Sweetcell, thanks for defending the draw, and in that sense, defending my right to be 'cliche.' I was going to address the rudeness of the remarks on here, but don't need the drama on this lovely Sunday morning. Think I'll go draw a road disappearing into the sunset, oh jeez, that's been done though, hasn't it? how cliche that would be...lol peace, brothers and sisters...peace. |

I'm practicing using pixels and coloring with pixels. Well, I'm submitting it now b/c I'm scared my computer will flip out a quit out of Safari, and if it did that then I would have lots 1hr and 30min's worth of work. And I would have screamed. So yeah. I'm still working on it, but it's almost done.
DONE!
Just practice.

Axil: Hmm, I think the smaller hands are part of his style. It tends to work for me, women have smaller hands and exaggerating that fact doesn't effect the overall quality of the sketch. The smaller hands are no different than any of the other exaggerations in his comic styled figures, they compliment the super small waist and huge bust. Stylistically, fuller hour-glass figures look best with smaller hands.

Update: due to technical difficulties the maintenance did not go as planned. I have reopened the site while we investigate alternate solutions. Sorry for the downtime! I havent drawn with lineart in a looong time. This is horrific lineart, for anyone who was wondering. I figured I might as well do this contest because they're fun and I don't do them alot.I like brown and orange so this is Akiko in those colours. I like coloring. Not quite sure how this will looks as an icon.
