Specialty Boards/Contest!
Deino (Aug 6, 2006)
Tha classical murder scene of Julius Caesar in William Shakespeare's drama. Oh yeah, Caesar he was killed in real life to, but whatever.

Anyway, I'm back from Cancun. Yay!

Funny Fact: I wanted the theme of my contest entry to be a literature character, my options were the masked dead from Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The mask of the red dead", Jean Baptise Grenouille from Patrick Suskind's "The Perfume" and Julius Caesar from Shakespeare's "Caesar".

Edit! - So, I dreamed with this drawing las night, it was like and animated version of this moments. Then, I saw my aunt entering the kitchen with a deer head on her arms, she said: "I brought dinner!".

Well, a brilliant finish to a brilliant piece. Stunning, just the only word I can find right now without reaching for my thesaurus.

i decided you were right, hide, so i took a picture of myself and i'm pretty sure this is how it goes.
hideyourface (Dec 10, 2006)
Yeah that looks a lot better. I always had trouble with wide open mouths.

I really like how the lineart and painterly look come together. Keep it up!
Sweetcell (Dec 11, 2006)
Looks like a smoker on a bad day. Love how you color, and your bold lines. It inspires me.

Another "colored pencil approach". I work in them in real life, this is great to work up ideas for works on paper!!

Hey, I did not know you were here. I love all of your stuff. Would love to see you do some more. Sketchfu has gotten boring for me, I am afraid. I have also made an enemy here and not sure how to fix it. She (sweetcell) is really pissed at me. I only memo'd her that I did not appreciate her nit picky comments. Ouch...I got a mouthful back. Now I see she is a top dog her....oh.....woe is me. Something came over me and possessed me, I swear! Miss seeing you...how is your back? Come visit.

I think this one, your anime or what ever you call those and your nude are my favorite.
Sweetcell (Mar 9, 2008)
I'm top dog? When did that happen? I must have lost the memo from Marcello the owner.

As for Gerry she doesn't draw here anymore.

Hmmmm top dog. I think I'll make that into a T-shirt.

Thanks everyone, I should have worked on the arms & legs a bit longer but I'm still just learning and got tired of fiddling with it.
gerbear (Apr 27, 2006)
hey cat! Nice job. Like the chrome alot. The anatomy is off in the arms, but I have been following your draws at Udraw still (jes have not had time to comment, but I AM looking) and know you do the human body VERY well indeed. It takes time to learn the programs here. They are wonderful but I did not find them intuitive. I look forward to more as the tools become familar!!!

Salvador Dali's "Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man" (1943)
http://www.bancodedadosvisual.hpg.ig.com.br/Salvador_DaliGeopoliticusChildWatchingtheBirthoftheNewMan.jpg
(I'm using my book on Dali for this)

This work marks Dali's development of a style modeled on the techniques of the Old Masters.
I love this painting's concept, its power and its timeless energy.

Tis from le Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I am using a reference picture, but man...xD My shading is OFF. As well as pretty much everything else here.

D: I'm upset now. I made so many mistakes that I don't know how to fix them. D: And considering the fact that 2Draw isn't working properly for me kind of makes it harder.
But...
;D He's still the sexiest transvestite there ever was.

[By the way, I cried when I clicked Submit and the page had an error. Then I started laughing and crying at the same time when 2draw told me I needed to submit it and had saved it. =D Thank you, 2Draw.]

Oh so love him. I swear one day I will go to a Halloween party as Frank if I ever get the courage.

He needs more of a chin I feel, and his eyes need to be lowered a tich, but I'm feeling the transexual love here.
