Your a card DBA, a card.

It can't win, but it sure is pretty.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Dec 9, 2006)
NU UHHHHHH.
And of course it can win, why can't it? Marcello is the King, but it dost not excludeth him from winning, (as long as he saved alllllll the proofs of purchase thingies from his cereal boxes)or... whatever... you know. *curtsies and trips backwards out of door*

study break! (didn't use reference for this version)

Nice brush strokes. Also good emulation of water color. Was it the smooth edge brush on low opacity with some slight grain?
marcello (Dec 14, 2006)
nope, it was a hard edge brush on full opacity with no grain. low flow, multiply mixing mode, and some other layer effects tweaking after I finished.
solve (Dec 14, 2006)
I am so going to steal that technique. Do you know any others for different varients on styles?
marcello (Dec 14, 2006)
gosh I can't give my whole bag of tricks away, now can I?
I think the idea to it all is to understand what the tools do, then to just experiment. layer blending modes can do some neat things, plus you can do some clever tricks by duplicating layers and modifying one version (such as blurring one, as I did here)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 16, 2006)
wait.... you mean you have a bag of tricks? And just where are you hiding this bag? Can I see it? Are you ticklish?
marcello (Dec 16, 2006)
up here *taps head*
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 16, 2006)
ok, so you're playing "pooh bear" and... you're not ticklish, fine, be difficult. My little brother who was a sgt. in the Marine Corps and is now a state trooper taught me a couple of really useful moves from both training grounds.... I totally don't want to have to use them on you, sooooo SPIT IT OUT. I want the contents of that bag. ;) (either that, or I could just pinch and twist... that's my own personal signature thing :).... so... where shall I pinch?
marcello (Dec 16, 2006)
I just told you, there's no bag. It's metaphorical.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Dec 16, 2006)
Yeah, yeah... you just don't want me to pinch you.
Sweetcell (Dec 17, 2006)
Actually Cindy I think he might. ;) Turned out pretty btw.
Anna (Dec 30, 2006)

Nightmare (Dec 30, 2006)
