Me, native territory. No really, I live in the Panhandle of Florida, and this is, essentially, 10 minutes in my backyard. :)

So uh, me... from a ref. Not uploaded.

Pretty nice draw! Pretty girl too! :D

Wow you really live in a nice place. Great for drawing inspiration.
Mari-Ta (Jul 22, 2007)
Great shading, and I love how your pen strokes, while sketchy and free, still have a structured look to them.
The touch of purple on the face has a nice look--something I've recently taken to doing myself.
clover_pocky (Jul 23, 2007)
Aw, thanks! ^^;; I'm really not that pretty, but thank you.

Well, it's Runesael. And I've reached my 1.5MB limit, so I guess I'm done. :\

I'm not happy with it, but uh. Well, there you are, first advanced board entry.

Runesael, still. I'm experimenting with red and green - I'm not sure if I like it yet... still needs a lot of work. I like the hair though.

This is better than it was, however, it's still unfinished... >_< Sorry!

Christ, that background is lame!
davincipoppalag (Jul 22, 2007)
My favorite parts are the eyes and that jade ornament thingy hanging from her hair

The Cure + sleep deprivation.

This is how I remember New York. ...

... yeah, with all that colour in the sky.

Kyrinn Galadrael - the next form of Runesael after Phantom Starfire.
This character was used on AOL in Rhy'Din RP chat rooms.

Ow, ow ow, my hand.

Cell shading attempt #304358902358...

Not sure if the contrast looks right on anyone else's screen but mine. :\

BARF.

This took too long for what it actually is, lol. Contrast in the skin is off, but I'm happy with the basic character concept and the hand made me want to shoot babies, but all in all, I just needed a quick composition... which turned out to be a several hour long thing. Anyway. I'm doing a series of how this character evolved over time. This would be the first incarnation, who went under all of those names in the title. She was my first RPing character - on AOL in a Star Wars chatroom, lol. I was seven when I first came up with her, so the concept is a touch cliche, but I'll shut up now. First in what will be a long, long series, hopefully. :)

The hand is really nice.
Sweetcell (Jul 16, 2007)
Boy, that name makes scrolling difficult.

This is nice, the left eye is too small and slanted though in comparison to her right. If you raised it up and widen it (not lengthen) and make her eye ball more visible than the little amount we see it wouldn't look so strange, and widen and lengthen her lips. Basic facial anatomy is using an upside down triangle. The corners of the eye would rest at the corner of the base of the triangle and the tip would rest in the middle of the bottom lip. The corners of the lip would lie under the middle of the eye's (maybe more or less but it wouldn't stray far from that basic composition) Even at half the angle the premise is the same. his is good don't get me wrong, just some adjustments would make it great.
The hand is good, just a little large. The wrist bone wouldn't be so far from the hand and stick out so much. Her shoulder is very boney as well, it should be rounder. I love the hair though, great hair.
clover_pocky (Jul 16, 2007)
Sweetcell, you have just totally made my day.
Thank you -so- much for pointing all that out, I'm absolutely serious, I couldn't figure out why it looked wrong!

<3 <3 Thank you!

I'd say something smart , but I can't think of anything so I'll just say that I love the shapes and colours. A lot.
PS (Jul 7, 2007)
I like this, its very smooth.
Sweetcell (Jul 7, 2007)
Claustrophobia is a state of mind, a negative one but that's what therapy's for. K, said my smart thing for the day.
It's has a feeling of flight and freedom. Do what Poppa said and go outside for awhile, does wonders.
gizemko3 (Jul 10, 2007)
this made me think how many pairs of wings angels have. but i guess seraphs have six and cherubins four... don't remember any more

you are,
all fire, glory and wind - and sunlight
through closed eyes on a spring day.
as I lay on my back,
grass smooth and sharp beneath my hands,
feeling, experiencing, being.
I know you
through the warmth of this day.
through my eyelids, on my cheek,
in the laughter of children that floats down from the docks,
rhythmic pulses of the waves against aging wood -
inhale the scent of green, the newly cut lawn.
I know you through these things.

...the breathy wind rifles through my shirt.

[for my boyfriend.]
c&c not desired, just tell me what this makes you think, please.

Sweetcell (Jul 4, 2007)
Ooo, swirly and beautiful (I wish people stopped bringing up Nightmare Before Xmas, that is not what I thought when I first saw this, but now I'm going to think it) Well, pretty Clover.
enjoydotcom (Jul 5, 2007)
It looks like something somebody with skill (not me) could do with paint on a canvas. And I sure hang it on a wall.
gizemko3 (Jul 10, 2007)
i like poetry in general, too bad English isn't my mother tongue and so i can't really feel it. well, i do understand the words and all (and if not, there's always a dictionary near me), but i seem not to be able to ever catch 'it'... i guess i will stick to admiring the painting then. and that's a beautiful one

Don't worry, children, Auntie is here to read you a bedtime story.

(Mostly in artistic rebellion against my previous style. I've given up trying to emulate the anime thing, rofl.)

This is much better than anime anyway! This is terrific and free and interesting . Do more!
Sweetcell (Jun 22, 2007)
"Tell us the story of the red witch auntie, tell us the story of the red witch!"

I'm with Dave, stick to this style, there isn't enough of this around here.
Like the tongue and highlight's in the teeth and eye.
Oh, and neato skeletal hand.

This is too cool! I need a painting like this in my room.

... I could be beautiful for you..."

Original concept by me in early 2006. Redrawn today out of... lots of stuff.

Please don't take the things on this board as my normal act of work. I'm still getting used to the applets. Sorry for spamming this board, but I do need somewhere to draw every day.

I like it, the marriage between the blues and the browns is great. Your handwriting is nice, assuming it is your handwriting because of the natural irragularity of the letters, making it human instead of a font.
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
How pretty, the hair looks like you used pencil crayons and the face and shawl marker pens. Is that your prose or someone elses?
clover_pocky (Jun 7, 2007)
It's not mine, it's a song called, "How soon is now." though I do write. :) I just like the lyrics.

My handwriting is the result of years of practice. >_< Cursive italics. Grah. But thank you. ^_^
